Not before 1st June 2020. Which date after that we don't know as yet.

This situation makes one wonder what is the status of the Air India privatisation. I am struggling to see any airlines investing in it for now. Maybe other businesses who are looking to diversify, or an Indian airline who wants to consolidate the market in their favour. Anyway, my guess is it won't happen this year at the very least.

Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway sells entire stake at approx 45% loss in 4 US airlines. Reason being piling debts and bleak future outlook.
Quote:
“When we bought [airlines], we were getting an attractive amount for our money,” Buffett said. “It turned out I was wrong about that business because of something that was not in any way the fault of four excellent CEOs. Believe me. No joy of being a CEO of an airline.”

Amid so much fanfare Vistara had brought in that 787 Dreamliner. I believe they did one or two domestic flights to Delhi with that plane. But thats about it! They must be cursing their stars to the fullest. What an inauspicious start to their Dream(liner) of flying to the UK and other destinations in the EU. Nobody can predict when that will start again and whether there will be need of as many flights as there were before Covid19 from India either!

Ideally they should have been celebrating their first Dreamliner flight back in the month of March, but as you rightly said they must be cursing their stars. I guess they will have to continue flying it on BOM-DEL route till they buy slots abroad. I believe they also take delivery of their second Dreamliner in the later half of this year.

Vistara got it's 787 Dreamliner on 29th February from Boeing's factory at Everett. It was pressed into domestic duties from 10th March flying on DEL-AMD and various other sectors. Currently, it's flying under "Mission Lifeline UDAN" initiative.

Coronavirus Crisis: World's Second Oldest Airline Driven To Bankruptcy.

Quote:
Avianca Holdings, Latin America's second largest airline, filed for bankruptcy on Sunday, after failing to meet a bond payment deadline, while its pleas for coronavirus aid from Colombia's government have so far been unsuccessful.
If it fails to come out of bankruptcy, Bogota-based Avianca would be one of the first major carriers worldwide to go under as a result of the pandemic, which has crippled world travel.

Avianca has not flown a regularly scheduled passenger flight since late March and most of its 20,000 employees have gone without pay through the crisis.

"Avianca is facing the most challenging crisis in our 100-year history," Avianca chief executive Anko van der Werff said in a news release.

While Avianca was already weak before the coronavirus outbreak, its bankruptcy filing highlights the challenges for airlines that cannot count on state rescues or on such rescues coming fast enough. Avianca is still hoping for a government bailout.

Not exactly a bankruptcy filing, but looks like Emirates has let go a whopping 600 pilots. Some Indians in it, some who had left IndiGo to join Emirates.
