i second salil, the test mule looks awfully shabby!!!! The one displayed at the expo is a thousand leagues ahead in build quality!!!

Did anyone notice the number of this Giant...it reads BYE...to whom TATA only knows...VOLVO?

I guess TATA's have an eye on the cost factor, so they have to look at ways to cut cost in India. The only way they can hit Volvo is by introducing a similar speced bus at lower price.

I think the upside down "tusks" in the front will keep the bus driver from coming too close behind another bus/truck on the highway .. Thats a good safety feature

Tata shouldn't have changed the head lamps...its makes a lot of difference in its look..

On a recent ride to Pune on the old highway, I came across a number of different Tata vehicles undergoing testing.

Saw this bus with large plastic water barrels (to simulate the load of passengers) being tested. Looked nice, and seemed to be moving at quite a pace.

Also spotted the Ace people carried version, again with the water jugs. Will post that in the appropriate thread.

Hi Guys.. I spotted an Omni which is not apassanger version but with an ACE like carrier version.. I was in hurry and was going in opposite direction so did not clicked the snaps... I seen it on Paud-Pune highway...

OT: I spotted an Innova like test vehicle the other day on Dehu road. Anyone else spotted that?

PS: I get to see the Ace/Sumo test vehicle almost every day.. getting bored now
