Tata Motors has launched India's first 16-wheeler, 47.5 tonne tipper truck called the Signa 4825.TK.

The Signa 4825.TK has been designed for the transport of coal and construction aggregates. It comes with a 29 cubic meter box load body. The tipper is available in two configurations - 10X4 and 10X2.

The Signa 4825.TK is powered by a Cummins ISBe 6.7-litre BS6 diesel engine that produces 247 BHP and 950 Nm @ 1,000-1,700 rpm. The engine is mated to a heavy duty G1150 9-speed gearbox via a 430 mm organic clutch. The truck comes with three drive modes - Light, Medium and Heavy.

The Signa 4825.TK features a suspended sleeper cabin that has been crash tested, tilt and telescopic steering, 3-way mechanically adjustable driver's seat and air-conditioning. The truck also comes with a blind spot mirror and a solid steel 3-piece bumper.

The tipper is equipped with Hill Start Assist, Engine Brake and iCGT brake. It also has sensors to detect and prevent a possible topple while tipping.

The Signa 4825.TK is offered with a 6 years / 6 lakh km warranty. It comes with Fleet Edge digital fleet management system as standard.

I couldn't locate the full form of 'iCGT'. Below is what I found on Tata's website,
"Enhanced brake life | Low chance of tyre burst due to heating | Less Maintenance costs".

Source: https://tatatrucks.tatamotors.com/ta...-features.aspx

And this from a different website,
"Meritor Q Plus® Air Drum Brakes offer better stopping power for heavier loads due to additional torque and consistent pressure. Any loss of pressure will activate the air brakes, eliminating the risk of brake failure and making them safer by design than standard hydraulics."

Source: https://www.fccccommercial.com/chass...on-components/

The latter is more descriptive in what these brakes do. Both websites had the same image, hence I think both of them have their own names for this system.
