Can give my reference, I don't know he would remember my name but can tell him as the guy from Jamia who got his blue honda city done.

What i got done?

I got my whole car (except Roof) repainted from there.

Actually they have two workshops (one near the Jamia university and one at Okhla), at Jamia the denting and body work is done and at Okhla painting and finishing work is done. I visited the workshop at Okhla to see what kind of cars go there and how is the work. BOY I saw Benz (E class and S class) just being delivered, One 5 series Bavarian, Civic, Laura, City (atleast 5 were there and all for complete repaint). Even some Mercs come here from dealers.
Got one photo of the workshop for the kind of cars they do, No merc or BMW in it as they don't park them in that lot.

He took off all the paint and start on fresh metal.

There I found a guy also who had come to get his Accent delivered, so whats better for review than actual costumer. That guy was all praise for these fellows. As per that costumer he had got his one santro (met with accident and the chasis was much damaged) and for that car even dealer couldn't find out after it was done by that guy.

I got my Honda city done for INR 18,000 ONLY :D
Attached below is the photo of my car too after the job.

My call

Highly Recommended
Very rarely you will find people who take utmost care of costumer satisfaction. He delayed the delivery of my car as he himself was not satisfied with the paint quality and told me the same pretty honestly.

Post a few more photos of your car, if you could please. A close of the bumpers could be really nice. When painting the plastic parts, a lot of people go wrong there.
If he doesn't have a paint booth, how does he deal with dust that settles on the paint.
Thanx already. This could be a god sent gift, if this guy is as good as you say he is. I've been meaning to do my car. It has a lot of rust on the running boards.

How many coats of clear did he put and any anti-rust coating?

There are lots of such garages in every city, just that we've got to find them and trust them. Most of them do a fantastic job and just a fraction of the cost of the official service centers. They can also do some special jobs for you. They have no ego or restrictions to the type of job they do.

The best part is that they're really passionate about the work they do and treat the cars like their own babies/children!

Hi Nitin,
At 18K with that quality and the fact he scrapped the old paint its quite a steal. Is the guy reliable? How long did you had to leave your car? Few questions if you can answer
- How did he remove the old paint? Scrapping or paint remover?
- Did he use bondo / NC putty to fill in small dings or did he tap out all the panels completely?
- What brand of primers did he use?
- What brand of paint did he use?

cheers

Yes Vish...it was a steal and I can say for sure the quality of paint job is lesser to none.
Yes he is 100% reliable and Honest and I mentioned this is earlier particularly.
He had asked for 15 days but since he himself wasn't satisfied with the top coat so redone that and took 1 week more.
Most of the paint was removed by remover and scrapped only a very little.
No putty to fill the dings...you can see the attached photo of scrapped doors.
only a very hard to ding spots was filled with putty and its acceptable.
He used Dupont and 3M products only.

I paid a visit to this Munna painter in the back alleys of Okhla Ph3, and was super impressed.

There was a White Laura with front and rear fenders and bumper painted sent in by a south delhi based 2nd hand dealer that he was just finishing. The refinement of the paint job was impeccable. colour matching 95% which he said "dawai saaf karenge toh rubbing polishing ke baad toh 100% match hoga"

The environment and conditions are heart wrenching - dust, cows etc., but then Munna is an artist :D

PS - I didn't get work done as he refused to budge below 4500 for my verna bumpers which are almost perfect. Seemed expensive, but promised to pay him a visit for my other cars and I would definitely give him a shot.

@Honda Monk - he remembered your car. I quoted green, but he corrected me by saying blue. You might want to take a look at Akram - another guy who operates down the street - he had a 2005/6 E-class and a fortuner waiting for work to be done.

That is a great job done on your car and I should say for peanuts (relative to chennai).
Great looking car you got there.
I like the way the car is been stripped off till metal and started of from scratch.
Here in chennai road side mechanics charge Rs30000 to paint a santro and that's just to paint over the same color without stripping old paint.

That's a good find for all Delhi folks

Great to hear this! Does he also do bodywork? My Accent has got too many dents and scratches on body and bumpers that I need to get done soon!

@markiv : Sir its in delhi , and your location says Mumbai ????

Hey guys , I gave this place a shot after I inadvertently put a small scrap while reversing around a stone which I did not notice. I initially went to Pandit who said he will charge 5000 which was way out of my budget. I then approached Munna who did a fantastic job on my 320d Blue for 1500.

Also Honda Monk please change the name of the thread to "Bright Motors" , Okhla/ Jamia

I am glad that my thread is helping people in my city.
I hope saketa you are happy with the work.
The duster in the photo I also saw being worked upon at the other workshop of munna. It had door hit.

how many days does it take to return the car ? I mean for a full paint and also for a small part paint, like door etc.

Hope he returns the car in a quick turnaround time with committing to the delivery date.

Well he finished by job in about 2-3 hours. The point however made by Hondamonk is true regarding the unorganized nature. I think he might have only done it so quickly because I told him I want it by today and sat there while it got done. It was definitely worth the time and money though.

Also please change the name of this thread. Its called Bright Motors

It is completely dependent on the quantum of work.
Like there could just be a repaint job and also there could be much denting and tinkering job with some hard to work on parts.
SO it depends on condition of vehicle.
You have experience of Saketa also where he got his job done in 2-3 hours.
SO show him the car and ask for time and try to squeeze it as per your needs.

Hi,

I need to get my Toyota Camry bumper fixed.
I posted pictures in a different thread.
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/techni...y-swift-3.html
Can somebody give me an idea of how much this would cost ?

Thanks
