Re: Metro Spares & Ghai Motors (Savitri Nagar, New Delhi)

I've checked at few places, but most of the shops I've got in touch with doesn't stock Chevrolet parts, specially Optra magnum. Any idea if this would be right place for me?

Decidedly unreliable

I asked Arun on 23rd March , a simple request ... No response.
Followed up with 2 phone calls. He was decidedly obsequious, but completely useless.
Followed up again with a phone call and a message on 24th April. Again no response.

Stay away. And look for some other part supplier. This guy can't be relied on.

Sometimes, whatsapp may not be the best mode of communication. Best to call up and enquire.

The phone calls were actual conversation with the proprietor, resulting in promises he could not keep. These were not failed attempts at contacting him.

99.99999% of suppliers won't reply on whatsapp simply because of volumes. If you would physically go there you would know.

The pricing and the authenticity well certifies what they do, you could have driven down for the part since no supplier will revert on whatsapp tbh.

This one did before, and confirmed (for this transaction ) that he will continue to do so. Sometimes for other transactions he prefers WhatsApp to get images of parts off to his suppliers.

Sourcing from Arun doesn't work on whatsapp/phone. Been there, done that. He has too many physical customers/mechanics crowding his front counter and shouting out bulk orders.

Was trying to source a rare part for a friend's Honda City. Called him thrice and every time he promised to get it. Then one day turned up at his doorstep, rare part in hand. Within 10 minutes the replacement was scrounged out from his stock and handed over to us.

Summary: Don't try saving time by using phone or whatsapp. Arun is busier than you are. And, the guy can be pretty well relied on to get any part at an honest rate.

A WhatsApp message even during the day time is usually not answered by Arun; sending him a picture of the spare part and then calling him to order it works. Sometimes it takes 2-3 calls before he is free enough to talk on the phone. Sending him messages at 7:28 pm and 10:49 pm is... well... counterproductive.

In case you do find a better supplier / vendor (apart from a trip to Kashmere Gate), do let us know.

Each WhatsApp was followed by at least 2 phone calls first thing in the morning. In which, the messages were acknowledged by him personally and promises were made.

No not Kashmere Gate. I have put Mahindra's own supply engine to work yesterday. The parts will arrive at the dealer workshop next week.
