Me too... I had gone to Nippon Toyota for my I gen Fortuner's periodic service and asked them whether they would instal Cruise control , Auto headlights/rain sensing wipers . They refused. They even refused to instal Bosch horns and Hydraulic bonnet lift which I had purchased.
It seems Maruti ASS is a lot flexible in installing parts from third party vendors

Is this retrofit possible on the G variant of the Corolla Altis CVT?

I did try it on my Altis G-AT with Toyota Service Centre in Bavdhan (now its called Sonak Toyota), but they said it will not work and I was in hurry that day. Need to spend some time with them to push more. Did you try?

Re: DIY: Installing cruise control in a Toyota Fortuner

I have seen one black colour first Gen Fortuner in Mohali Toyota service centre way back in 2022 with cruise control. That time I wasn’t curious to have one so didn’t bother asking the owner about it but now can’t find the same car to ask the owner neither ASS knows anything about it. It was a DL registered car.

Anyway the first gen facelift is not wired nor display meter populated with the cruise light led. But if someone can post a picture of E5 ECM connector then I can say for sure if it will work or not. Also mandatory is the clutch switch on manuals. For AT’s first Gen it’s more likely to work.
