Can you please post some pics of "How to remove instrument cluster of Santro Xing" (if any)

after pondering what color will look good, came across an excellent idea. Here it is . PS Job !
Wondering if White will be possible , @Lifewater are there LED's or bulbs (incandescent) ??
Hey Abhay, Excellent man your PS jobs look preety cool. Santro has got incandescent bulbs just like the ones used in the ZEN, 800 etc.
Will post pics on how to remove the instrument cluster on Sunday after I am back home. Presently out of town.

Abhay. thanks for the images.

Isnt the color of the display material slightly greenish in color? Then a pure white display wont be possible.

iam too waiting for the snaps. only then will i dare to try this.

Wont this effect guys with warranty at A.S.S?
A.S.S will definately have a problem if LEDs are used.

I guess there should be a green film behind , can only know once it is taken out. Lifewater will be the best one to answer this

Yes, the display material itself has a slight greenish tint. Pure white is not possible in many speedos with such tint.

In some cars like the Alto, the material itself is greenish, no film is present behind.

Your speedo's warranty will be void the moment you open it(there are some paper warranty stickers over the screw holes).

Lifewater, Thanks a lot.

You make it seem so simple.
One question - as being discussed above, what was the original color of the bulbs?

I am hoping for the original bulbs to be green, so i can have a full white display with white LEDs.

LED setup = 2 x (3x3.5watt,5mm in series with 1 470e resistor)
guys, please correct me if the setup of LEDs is wrong.

If your are going to use blue LEDs, then it should be 3 blue LEDs in a series with 47 Ohm resistor. In case of white LEDs, it is 3 white LEDs in a series with a 82 Ohm resistor.

Refer my thread for further details:

@uniquemods the original bulbs are just normal incandescent ones - like headlight bulbs or the more common house light bulbs with blue coloured rubber caps.
