If some BHP-ians don't know this, then imagine the masses who don't know cars as well. This would have been an easy opportunity for Nissan to show it off. All they had to do was park a car there with a numberplate saying "Sunny Diesel" !!! The standard answer of how "there are no immediate plans, but Nissan is always evaluating the needs of the market". cya R

| ![]() Wonder where the Evilia will be positioned and the pricing. Against Venture class or Innova class??? And i believe it's a FWD platform.,wonder when the passenger version of the Dost gets launched. |

| ![]() Thats a well rounded store from the Nissan! Evalia looks interesting and can be pitched as a competitor to the utility vehicles like Innova, Aria or Ertiga for that matter. Whats intriguing is the size of the vehicle. Looks like a mini truck to me. Parking and city driving can be a deal breaker. Nismo and dragmonster are complete drool stuff. And the specs on the latter are just mouth watering! And the Leaf, looks very neat and superbly built. Is it just a concept or will be launched anytime soon? Thanks for sharing the pics Rehaan! |

| ![]() Evalia looks quite good. Would start whole new market segment I guess. Esp. people like me who like to move in comfort with entire family but without getting cramped in a sedan. Any interior pics Rehaan? Nissan has lost opportunity here by not displaying and not properly marketing Sunny in first place and now Sunny Diesel. Otherwise a good car may move away from limelight. ![]() |

| ![]() Will wait for GTO's review/evaluation of the Leaf. Any plans shared by Nissan to launch this car in India? From what I understood from the global specs, its as good as one of our bigger hatches like i20/Jazz with the bonus of a 100 mile official range on a charge. I have always thought electric cars like this are perfect for city runabouts. The added bonus being they charge really fast at 220V which is the system in India. Would be interesting to see if Mahindra-Reva launch or relaunch the Reva NXR. From what I remember they had already launched it once in 2010. As of now Mahindra is more interested in SUVs and I frankly dont understand what could be the reason they acquired Reva. I only wish the government wakes up and lets companies like Nissan sell such cars at zero duty to make them affordable here. |

| ![]() Evalis is a nice looking MPV but I really dislike the fact that 7people onboard with luggage and you are having 1.5lit diesel engine?? |

BHPian ![]() | ![]() The same is lauched in partnership with Ashok Leyland it seems, as mentioned in one of the threads. With its wide service network, if the pricing is correct, this model would do good nos for AL&N partnership after 'Dost', I guess. Innova and Tavera, get ready!! |

| ![]() With everyone jumping onto compact SUV bandwagon. I was expecting Nissan Juke on the stand. Nice simple stall. @OP! Thanks for sharing. |

| ![]() NISMO is primarily Nissan's Motorsports division (NIS+MO). They have a characterstic white paint job with Nissan Red ORVMs. NISMO developed the SKYLINE GTR in'89 and then gave the world GTR Z-Tune with the R-34 V Spec ups. Sunny Diesel will soon make it's way into the market, take my word for it. NV200, which a few months back was officially declared as the official taxi of NY City (electric version) has been developed closely with Indian commercial vehicle manufacturer Ashok Leyland. |

| ![]() Thanks Rehaan! Could be a success in our market, but it looks a bit like a Panel van IMO ![]() Quote:
I expected the Juke to be there. Nothing really great, but it is one production car which has retained almost a concept-like quirkiness.

| ![]() Thanks Rehaan! The Evalia looks OKish up-front, but loses the plot from the B-pillar onwards. The concept-sport is cute though. |

| ![]() Interesting though the Evalia is, it will never sell well to individual (private) buyers in India. Vehicles with sliding rear doors seem to repulse the private vehicle buyers. This is of course after one digests the looks. Subjective though one's preference in looks may be, the Evalia certainly isn't pretty. Love the CSC. That's what the Micra should look like - though as a 4/5 seater ![]() |

| ![]() If they are targetting passenger and not taxi market, then why Evalia and not Quest which does not look like a panel van converted into people carrier? |
