Will be a bummer if true

Even the camouflaged mules had a bigger rear overhang than the ICE counterpart.

I hope this is bigger than 4m. Only than it will make any sense to me. I am expecting ground clearance to go down as well because of batteries.

What makes us think this will be any better. M&M does not have a different supply pipeline for components that others don't have. With their other cars, they are struggling with electronics components. Short wait times, might not be a given.

Well, I was just thinking more from more option available in India in the EV segment and would ease out demand from Tata and MG if they come up with good product for eUV 400. But you are right, things may not be too different with them either.

I've a news from a guy who has worked on this project for a year and half, and he confirmed boot space is increased a little bit more than the XUV 300. He also confirmed that the boot space issue will be addressed with the facelift. Also, the battery performance is going to be good and at par with the competition, so I guess M&M are going out all guns blazing with this !

Re: Mahindra XUV400 Electric to get 350 - 400 km range

I feel nothing much exciting than Nexon EV MAX, definitely another option for the buyer. When is the price reveal, takes another 4-5months?

So they have modified the bumpers and rear boot lid to make it a 4.2m car, the wheelbase remains the same as XUV300. Anyway the car looks much better with these bumpers and boot lid.

We don't know power figures, and the manufacturer makes a stupid mistake listing battery size as 39.2kw instead of 39.2kwh.

I am more worried about their executives dancing in product release videos.

Seriously though, I am very concerned that the technology appears be a dead end if the future is all about Volkswagen supplied components. I was hoping the product would be ready now, but this is slated for early 2023. More power to the competition!

Re: Mahindra XUV400 Electric to get 350 - 400 km range

I always thought the XUV300 was a good looking car, except from the side due to that 4m-rule forced abruptly ending behind! Nice to see that that has been fixed in the XUV400 with a more proportional back side. Looks much better in profile now.

On the flip side, they have not done anything about the dated center console with it’s early-2000s layout. That’s a lost opportunity.

And what on earth were they thinking with those copper accents! Mahindra always do this. Even when they make an overall good looking car, seems like they give the final detailing to a sugar-high toddler!
