What an absolute stunner. I cannot wait for Honda to bring this to India, fingers crossed! It would make for a wonderful everyday city car. Just look at the interiors in the attached brochure. With a lovely 60s vibe to them, they are by far the most refined and classy I can remember seeing in ages.

This is so Scandinavian! Love its muted lines and colour palette. Looks like some 'new thinking' emerging from this Japanese car maker. Honda should make this top priority and get it to India ASAP. Thanks for sharing.

If I had the disposable money, I would get this in a heat beat but as it stands, it is expensive and the range is pretty poor. But by god it is desirable.

Re: Honda e electric hatchback unveiled in production form

So this new Honda has about the specs, performance and range of a Nexon EV, yet costs like twice as much? Nexon is a 5 star rated product with excellent build quality and offers top notch ride and handling. So, where does the extra money go? It’s not like Honda is offering Mercedes like interior quality.

The Honda e, on the other hand, is languishing in Honda’s European showrooms. So far this year, only 1000 people have raised their hand to say, “I want one of those,” according to the European Electric Car Report.

Everyone admits the Honda e is a stunning car, an engineering tour de force from Team Honda. What, then, explains its lackluster sales? Range.

The Honda e with a 28.5 kWh battery is ~£30K in UK, VW id3 with a 58kwh battery also comes at the same price. Honda e may have large screens and other nice tech, but it does not have the space, simple interiors & practicality as in an ID3.

The Honda e is just a compliance car, made to comply with European emission laws, if it's priced low Honda can't meet the demand as I guess they do not have any long term battery contracts with any supplier. The Toyota EV plans may also have the same fate.

As of now Tesla, VW, GM, Hyundai and Chinese makers are serious about the transition.

Thats why the supply was going to be only 10000 units a year, but the actuals have been less than 1/10th.

This has forced Honda to buy green credits from Tesla, just like FCA did!
