I see it the other way round. Jump in price of an EV powertrain could be justified to some extent by adding all the features missing in the ICE counterpart!

What the C3 needs is an automatic gear box a few features that make it come to par with the rest of the field of hatchbacks available more urgently than a "battery pack".

Fully agree.
Even with a perfect price and features of a electric car can't give citroen the volume it needs to be of relevance. We all know this is because of the charging infrastructure and range anxiety.
Three aspects citroen should concentrate are :
1) Equip the cars with some basic feature for the price range. For a near 10 lakh on road car rear wiper and electrically adjustable ORVM are basic.
2) Come up with a proper automatic as soon as possible for C3.
3) A creta/ grand vitara rival should be the priority instead of electric car.
