At 2l for this car, its worth a buy. Looks like the spark and pretty decent as compared to drive around as compared to the Reva. But the fact its chinese could make people think.

Yeah, the interiors are cheap, but are the interiors of the reva any better for the premium that we pay ? this segment seriously lacks competition. this vehicle looks like a car man, that alone is good enough.

A valid point sumit, i hope the same too, even with a few small taxes thrown in, at 2.5/2.75L, i think this is a pretty good proposition.

Beginning to Happen !!!

Just saw an ad in the Hindu looking for distributors for this vehicle. Looks like we might see this on the road much sooner than we thought.

Car would sell well if properly backed up. Four ladies in the house already planning to pick up a piece each

They say instead of burning 40 lits of Speed 97 a week, I should also change to one of these. From Mivec to Cherry QQ or whatever????

All I can say is....dont count your chickens before they hatch. Wait, test-drive, do some research and only then, consider.

Here is the first catch, no auto transmission (from the same news link: The Hindu : Metro Plus Chennai / Wheels : An electric connection)
In an expedient move, a four-speed manual transmission of the kind made for the Maruti 800 has been installed. Because, in India an automatic transmission unit comes with a daunting price tag.

. It beats me why would an EV use a mechanical gearbox instead of modifying the torque speed characteristics by drive-control?

this car can even be a threat to the one lac car for this price

even though the capital cost is double the owner can save alot on the running costs

by the way if the car costs 2 lacs in india it might cost 1 lac in china right?

So the Chinese 1 lakh car is also the cheapest to run.
