The fact is all those tones/shine and highlights are there. You just need to enhance those strategically. Mere Photoshop tonal adjustments won't do. You need to work extensively on pen/path for precise selection. Plus there's no fixed rules for this.

That pan shot is nice. Since you are it, go for even slower shutter speed.
let me add another point to it, the car has to be "rudra clean"

Yes Vivek. It's a must as you rightly pointed out.

Ok TG, this shot was originally for a different purpose but I'm putting it here. Background was nothing great or in fact, disturbing. I've toned it down drastically. Shot around dusk.

Why they're all so yellowish? And I've seen razor sharp images from Kit lens furioussphinx..

Ive added tints using Lightroom for that more intense heat look. Wierd but I always end up getting soft images from my lens. Never got anything sharp.

Rudra,
That click is such an educative one for me. Well, i picked up quite a bit by studying it, and came up with this on the Audi A4 click. Applied my version of your tried and tested technique. Thanks for giving that very valuable tip. It's much appreciated!

Lovely car!

Well did this one for a friend, by the way he did the graphics work entirely on his own!
