Its a 300mm lens, and since I have a 350D, in 35mm equivalent, its a 480mm(300*1.6) lens.
I.e. I will get the same FOV with this lens that you would get on your full frame camera with a 480mm lens

Sometimes, many a times..I fail to understand what you guys are talking about. I know I'm clueless with so many things around but what's this 300*1.6mm lens? |
That's the downside to having a full frame sensor camera.:)

Very small
Its just a 300*1.6mm lens which costs 149 USD. This is the best it can give! |
Oh, I took the picture of first full moon with a Powershot S3 and then bought a 350D and telephoto lens, waited full month to get the pictures of 06/30/07 full moon. Not as good as yours because I am still trying to understand exposure values and then my tripod setting consists of a ladder to provide support and matchbox to provide incline. :)

The problem with my ladder-matchbox tripod setting is that I cannot see whats in the viewfinder when taking the pic, so the focus points are off. I did try to minimize shake by using computer to take the pic.
Correction: Seems I took the first pic a day or two before the actual full moon.
your photo is good exposure wise. In future attempts use F10 aperture, and make sure you use the self timer or remote on the tripod.
Best way is to use mirror lockup.
Tripod! I NEED a tripod.

Nice pic! Can you tell me the price for DSC W30 now? |
Sony India - like no other
Sorry crazy driver, Don't know the market price right now, but at their site you can get a fair idea of what to expect.
Sony India - like no other
Sony had introduced W35 to replace W30. Don't knw if W30 still sells in market. Buying from India had one big advantage of 3 yrs warranty. If you can strech your budget a little more than W30, I would suggest go for W80. lot better.
Another nice rainy day in Mumbai!

RT - thats your place ?
