Which PDA phone to buy for use with Hutch Mail?

Hutch has EDGE and no its nothing new. In fact its outdated in today's 3G-enabled world.
JASJAM has a USABLE and largish sliding QWERTY keyboard. The one on the E61 is just about okay with minor adjustments. The one on the SE M600i takes some getting used to because Q&W, E&R, T&Y are on two sides of the same concave button.

Excellent stuff. Jasjam aka HTC it is then, I suppose. Any clue on the pricing, tips on where to buy etc? Would it be cheap and reliable to buy from Dubai?

This should be good. You dont have to change your number either.
You could get any of the blackberry handsets or get the Nokia 9300i PDA and install blackberry services on that(I'm not sure about this on hutch but on airtel its possible).
