The UT is a great TV. I am also using it since August. You need to calibrate it properly though.

Hi M5_fan, I finally bought a 50UT50D.

Interestingly I don't have "white balance and gamma" options under advanced settings. But see a "AV Colour System" which in not shown in your pic.

I do not see Tint also in basic settings. But have "3D-COMB" as different option.

Which exactly is your model?

Mine is a 42UT50D. Maybe the 50 inchers have slightly different settings.

Anyone has reviewed the new 2013 lg led line up?Cant seem to find anything on net. Tvs are already available in shops!!

I think that white balance, gamma & tint settings are available only in the VT and GT series. The tint might be there in the ST too.

Tint settings are there in 42UT50D as well. I have posted that picture earlier.

Guys, any idea how much is the warranty on the 3D glasses of panasonic? One of the 3D glasses has gone kaput. The switch slides loosly without any action!

Also any pointers for the panasonic service centers in bangalore will appreciated!

So, looks like Panasonic will be announcing 2013 lineup on 22nd (after the launch of Panasonic mobile on 16th).

I came across this interesting site which deals with refurbished items.

Any reviews?

Hi Guys, I am looking to get a 32'' LCD/LED 1080p.
Preferrably a dumb one, will hook an HTPC to it. The few options that I have found seem to cost nearly as much as the Smart ones(2-3K difference) and have a bunch of useless features.
Any particular suggestions?

Mate. Grab one from Thailand or Dubai whenever you travel. Far cheaper than India prices. You can get a mice Full HD LED 32 for about 15K ish as against the 27k quoted in India. A big regret in my case, I was simply too lazy to buy one and bring it back with me on one of my trips and when I simply had to upgrade one of our TV's last year I ended up paying double what I would have otherwise paid had I simply been a little less lazy...

Yeah, I have actually done that once!
Back in 2009, I got an LG 32'' LCD for 17K from Singapore! Try finding this price even now. Of course warranty on such cases is a joke(that the sellers claim is actually there), but the TV is serving me well.
Infact, it was just an entry level TV, but I unlocked the USB port on it and now it plays even movies right off the thumb drives(this feature was only on high end models back then)

But there doesn't seem to be any plans to either of these places for now.
So would probably have to get one from here.

In which case a trip to Delhi's Gaffar Market is going to prove very rewarding! :)

I want check the options that come with warranty first before going the grey market route. considering some horror stories people have posted here, even with the ones with warranty

Hi

I already have one Panasonic P42UT42D, and I love it.
I have to buy another TV and Panasonic Plasmas are too expensive.
The plan is to buy a Samsung 40" LED from the Grey Market.
I need Internet Connectivity (Wireless / Wires) and a Good DLNA built in to play the moves in the PC acting as the DLNA Server. Good Video refresh Rate is always good.
I went to the Gaffar Market today, and the only Samsung LEDs which have what I want are the 6000 series with 3D, although I do not want 3D.
I was Offered a 40" 6220 for 47K and a 40" 6600 for 50K. Both these are smart TVs with Wifi. There is a 6400 Series for Samsung LEDs and only 46" 6400 Series was available for 72K.
The 6600 Series 40" Samsung LED looks good for 50K but I am really confused about it.
1. It is not listed on the Samsung India website. The seller told me it will be there on the Singapore / HongKong Website. It is there on the Hong Kong Website.
2. I have seen reviews as old as 2011 for the Samsung 6600 Series LED. How can there be such old reviews if it is a 2013 series. The 6400 available in 46" is definitely a new series launched in 2013, I am just not sure about the 6600.
Can somebody clarify this ?

Styler

The 2013 samsung models start with F like F6xxx the 2012 model start with ES or EH and the 2011 models start with D.

Are you not looking at Sony's 2013 range?
The 42W670 is available at Gaffar for 46K.
X-Reality Pro engine. No 3D. SD content is reproduced better than on the Samsung 6220.
