Any advices on getting a new 32" LED??

How does Micromax fare in this segment? They have TV's priced 15-16k, whereas competition starts at 20-21k!

Got my eyes set on Toshiba 32P3205, retailing at ~21k on Flipkart/Snapdeal. With a 3 year warranty! Any reviews?

Stay away from Micromax LEDs!
Long term durability or service quality is questionable and even though you may overlook these, the products themselves are inferior in specs.

Refresh rates where the minimum standard norm nowadays is 100-120+Hz, Micromax is doling out antique CRT standard 60Hz.(good luck with Eye Fatigue and HD channels)
Even connectivity options are limited with 1USB and 2HDMI only.
Many manufaturers give out 2 USB and 4HDMIs

In a nutshell even though prices are tempting, dont buy as you may soon feel your TV needs to be upgraded.

Adding to racer_m points.
1) LED panels are, in general, more prone to failures than CRTs. So, longer warranties are more significant than the times of CRTs. It also make local brands ( read lack of quality control) a greater risk.
2) P2305 is a good series. Picture quality is good, sound quality is better than competition.
3) I am not sure if Toshiba will honor warranty for its products sold online as per a few news articles. Also, there is very little price differential between online/offline prices. So, please confirm with Toshiba first for warranty issues.

Getting Haier 40" LED for 28xxx. Worth buying?
I have only used Sony Bravia and Samsung until now, have been content with the quality of picture and no issues whatsoever.
Any fellow members using Haier LED's that can shed light on the same.

The budget range of LED televisions from Samsung and LG offer 50 Hz refresh rates. Surprised? Check out the Tech Specs. Micromax is better (in a teeny-weeny way) on this count.

Further, Tata Sky HD broadcast is 60 Hz. (Am guessing all DTH broadcasters will be on par).

Note - Philips offers 100 Hz and is reasonably priced vis-a-vis the competition. One of the reasons why I picked it.

Could you please tell us which model you got?

Bought LB6500 42 inch television for 75K from Reliance Digital, with freebies like 2 years extended warranty, a 3D Bluray player, 3K gift vouchers and a gold coin. I was bothered about the Sound output reading from reviews, but it seems fine to my Living Room setup.

Got it connected to TataSky today and loved watching "The adventures of TinTin" in HD.
And not to mention the Wonderful 3D experience with "Life of Pi" movie.

Thankfully someone to stand up for the "cheap" brands. I did my research too before buying and I really couldn't see why we need 100 Hz refresh rates - when you are even watching HD on DTH. If that is your main need, then why "want" something else that you do not have a need for?

OT - I see UHD displays as well. Out of my mind. Where is the content? I buy a 40 incher for 25K, if technology has a drastic change, I can easily change the TV without too much of a burning in my pocket. Anyways, thats my logic. Other people's differs obviously.

For some 3D bluray movies, but I dont prefer the 3D experience less than 100" atleast in a darker environment. But for normal HD, its not even reqd.

How are Panasonic's LED TVS?

I am confused between Samsung 40H5500 101 cm (40) LED TV and Panasonic TH-42AS630D 106 cm (42) LED TV

In the past I have bought LG over Samsung and repented my decision as I find the Samsung panels to have better color,the LG seems darker. Hence I don't want to make the same mistake again by switching to Panasonic over Samsung. Although price are similar on both TVs, the advantage on the Panasonic is that is is 2 inches bigger and comes with 3 year warranty. However I do not want to compromise on picture quality hence please advise if Panasonic is as good in viewing.

Hi, I bought the same model last month from Reliance Digital. With 3 years warranty and also a gift coupon of 1500/- and 10% cashback on SBI Cards. The total deal if I consider all these came out to around 34.5K. The picture & sound quality is good. Only issue I faced was it could not recognize some video formats, don't remember the exact format. I could check and let you know if required. With just around 1 month of usage, I would consider this a good VFM buy.

We did a survey last week after Diwali at 3 places - ezone, Sony world and Reliance digital.
The TV we were interested in was a 50 incher Sony W900b.

The MRP was around 139,000 INR and the best we got was around 115,000 INR.

This was price when we expressed interest to buy the Sony HT with it, which had a cost of around 26000 INR. Reliance Digital was the cheapest with combo price of 135000 INR (they would take the BD player which came free with the TV).

Panasonic is one of the best in business , Even if you have to pay higher then Samsung I will suggest you to go-ahead from my personal experience . Just pick up the best series available in the size to fully enjoy richness and dark black levels on Panasonic. If you can stretch your budget , 50 inches will be a better option.

Other manufacturers such as Sony are also producing excellent models.

So, @Sahil: Please do explore other options as well.

Just remember that when you go to the store, there is a 90% chance that the settings on the TV's are far from optimal. You will have to adjust the picture settings (lowering brightness, colour, sharpness, noise reduction, etc.)
Most TV's do a lot of post-processing and give a 'water color' type of effect.

Only after turning all of that, you will get some realistic skin color (Zee HD is a good channel to test)

BTW: I have a Panasonic ST60 plasma and no complains so far.
