This is good price for 65 inch TV. As said there is marginal improvement in Processor, in built memory capacity every year. I do not think there will be discernible picture quality improvement. This is very good model. Previously I had 5 series Samsung plasma for 5 years. My eyes do not hurt at all after prolonged use even though it is LED. In April 2018 this was price of 55 inch same model.

I just checked out this TV at the local reliance store, they have 2 pieces left. With casual bargain, they offered 150000 as the last price am sure they will reduce more and are also ready to buy back my 65-inch plasma which I have been planning to dispose of. Since our 10 year old Sony 46 inch tv is being shifted to another room, we are now needing to buy a big screen TV in the main living room. We want to get a 65 incher this time. I would prefer reputed brands and no Chinese ones. I intend to keep TV as much as I can. Don't have a set budget but can do upto 1.5 lakh if needed. TV needs to be 4K and I know most tv now are smart tv but I plan to use fire tv stick 4k connected to the tv.
Also I had read that some tvs now have the apple TV embedded (not sure if it is full featured) but that would be nice to have but not necessary.

SONY 950G VS SONY 900F
950 G is was this years flagship and 900 F was last years but they're 99.5 % similar with a few extra features in 950 G , I for one wouldnt pay extra for that.

the 950 G has been topped with the new master series from Sony . The picture quality of these TV is just unmatched . I compared the flagships of LG and Samsung and SOny in the store itself playing 4 K clips watching HD pictures and Sony was leagues ahead .

The master series is close to 3 Lakhs for 65 inch .

900 F was being offered at 1.5 lakhs plus free sound bar and buy back at 10 K for our old plasma in working condition and he promised he would bring down the price further when we came to pay .

I too would be interested to know the place where you got this offer. I thought Plasma would not be considered for exchange as it is a dead technology. Atleast online retailers don't give an option for plasma exchange.

My TV has developed 3/ 4 vertical lines so not sure if they would accept it.

I saw this in Reliance Digital in Aundh in front of Sarjaa . YOu can go and check it out.

The freebies will keep adding up, soundbar is just the start. They will give more, if you negotiate well.

The standard Sony warranty which can be purchased from Sony directly is for 35 K for 2 additional years.

However, Reliance is willing to provide its own extended warranty for 1 + 4 years. The reliance ResQ service . 4 Yrs for 29 K. NOt sure which one to opt for .

Obviously the Sony direct warranty. Reliance warranty will only be as good as the paper it was printed on.

I have a TCL 75 inch 4k TV and its picture quality and performance is quite close to LG, Samsung and Sony TVs. That 75 inch TCL is now available for 1.09 lakhs! I would go for a bigger screen TV for a cheaper price or if I only wanted 65 inches, I would go with a price of 40k and save over a lakh. In about 3 years, I would upgrade to a bigger TV with newer technology anyway. Many TCL and Sony TVs use the same LG panels in any case!

I am thinking of Purchasing LG Oled B9 or C9. My current TV is Sony HX850 55 inch. My sony TV shows screen bleeding on all four sides and a few dead pixels at extreme corners of bottom left and right.
I have a TATA sky connection, my concern is Burn in with that persistent TATA sky logo on the OLED TV.
Should I be concerned or it will not have any issue with Pixel refresher built in to the latest gen of LG OLEDs.
Warranty does not cover screen burn in.

I would suggest, bit of fiddling up/fine tuning with sound settings (for instance: keep bass up to the max level & treble to the minimum) can make it sound better. Or you can try different options in the sound settings menu. There are modes available like News, movie, Music and so on.
