Re: My Home Automation with 75+ devices - From Domoticz to Home Assistant

Here is my setup: It is still a work in progress
Home Assistant running on Virtualbox on a now-defunct mining rig
7x hue bulbs (2 bedside, 2 outside garage, 1 inside garage, 1 each in pantry and walk-in-wardrobe)
1x Ikea bulb (Bedside)
Outdoor string lights connected via Kasa smart plug
Contact sensors on garage door, pantry and wardrobe to activate lights
Hue strip lights under kitchen counter (disappointed with it)
4 strips of addressable leds (WLED) in the kitchen and lounge (kids love it)
Aeotec Motion sensors (former Smartthings) for security and lights activation
1 strip of addressable leds (WLED) behind TV to sync with the screen

Re: My Home Automation with 75+ devices - From Domoticz to Home Assistant

Out of my hobby of tinkering, here comes the output as a product for smart home enthusiasts: EZIE Tasmota Based Smart Home Switch.

Right from PCB Design, Plastic Housing Design, Injection Mold Design, Software/Cloud Development, Engineering of trouble free touch design everything done by me while sitting in Germany. It was really good and satifying journey of creating pile of scraps of prototypes and ideas.

Product has come up really good with following features

1. OOTB Tasmota littlebit modified for device specific configuration. Device Includes Matter Support.
2. Really fine quality front tempered glass with configurable illuminated RGB touch rings. Configurable from the perspective of color, dimming timeout and dimming percentage.
3. Superb build quality, with removable back for access to serial flashing.
4. Matter Support (Customized specific to device)
5. Automated Home Assistant MQTT Discovery. ( Customized specific device )
6. Auto Configuration for device reset and recovery. Driver written in berry for customization by users. ( Custom Auto configuration )
7. Most important ESP32 placed on beautiful PCB design, manufactured by JLCPCB.
8. IN DEVELOPMENT: Alexa support with custom skill and AWS IoT Core backbone.
9. Anchor ROMA compatibility for now but more possible easily.

Wow! This is awesome. I have around 10 tasmota flashed wemos and sonoff devices in my home tied to home assistant. I was looking at buying the homemate modular one and use the smart life/tuya integration or somehow flash tasmota in it. Will definitely try this one out. I got anchor penta modular which has the same housing as roma. This is definitely some hardwork developing everything inhouse. And using esp32 instead of 8266 is the cherry on top.
