@bharanidharang Check out for Bull (rebranded Chinese brand Gongniu) which is a quality build. Other than that, you can't go wrong with Belkin, GM, or Wipro in that particular order.

Cants seem to find a top freezer 600litre+ config on their site. Looks like they are rated 4 stars for most which is good. Also, they seem to be made in Thailand. Which is a good thing.

Hmm, bottom freezers seem interesting as well. Considering we don’t open the freezer every day, maybe it’s better relegated to the bottom.

Guys what happened to delivery of Mi Robot Mop P floor cleaner that was due for delivery in September'20? Sorry if I had missed post on it. Anyone from tbhp got the product? How's it?

I have two inverters at home. One of the tubular batteries is giving a shock when i tried to move it. I checked with a tester and it shows power on the body of the battery anywhere i test, including the rope. What could be wrong? I switched off the inverter and then i was not witnessing this. The battery is about 7-8 years old. It is providing backup.

As long as the inverter is working properly, you can leave it alone provided you keep it out of reach of anyone. Usually the transformer will draw more current over a period of time. You may have to change the inverter eventually. Replacement of the transformer is often not cost effective.

Anyone has availed LG customer support/repair facility?

My 7 year old washing machine is making some weird sounds so want to get it checked. It’s working perfectly fine, just want to be sure that it is not giving hints before it breaks down totally.

Using Panasonic bottom freezer 500 liter one for last 5 years. No issues at all.
Preferred Panasonic freezer design, as it is just a bucket and no partition or unnecessary knickknacks, which let us arrange our stuff the way we want. Also, Siemens / Bosch is also good, but they have cupboard style freezer with 2 racks.

Single mother of teenage daughter wants top-loader washing machine

She tends to seek my wife's advice on numerous things, and thinks that I'm the all-knowing on gadgets. Of course, that is not at all true, and on this one I haven't a clue.

Requirement is low cost, long-lasting, reliable and fairly simple. She says up to 20k, my hunch is that a lot cheaper would do.

Suggestions please?

Hello SideView, I acquired LG's services for troubleshooting my refrigerator which was not cooling properly, turned out to be just an ice build-up near the fan.

I raised a support request from this site https://www.lg.com/in/support, they have options on the timeline for the service visit, you can choose whichever slot you are comfortable with, the person who came to visit us was genuinely from LG, he had an ID card and also was in uniform, please note that the consultation charge is INR 590, you get an official receipt and also if the issue repeats the next visit is free.

Consumables and spares are chargeable if any.

PS: Also not an expert on washing machines, recommendation is based on personal experience with the brand. Have also found that LG offers decent service and are easy to 3rd party repair w/ good spare availability.

LG was my first thought. Wife reminds me that the LG machine we had for a few years was a disaster, but I'm prepared to accept that it was one of a rare bad batch as most other experiences are positive.
