Typically horn loaded designs with high sensitivity such as Klipsches and Cerwin Vegas are the best if you want a party speaker. Add any 50W amp and you got yourself one loud system .

Right now i am listning songs from my PC, now i am upgrading my PC & got a motherboard with 7.1 sound card.

I am having a CD player with 3000W PMPO output with two stereo speakers having 8" sub both(L+R), they sound good but not great..

Right now my budget for speakers is 10K,

i am having an CD player with 3000W PMPO & having a computer with 7.1 sound card without amp.

now suggest something me that what should i do
- take two good quality stereo speakers for my CD player OR
- i should go for a surround speakers for my computer.

most of the times i listen to trance music, club music, linkin park..

Stay with what you have right now. 10k won't get you anything significantly better. You need atleast 50 grand.

5.1 for your budget

well you can try logitech Z5300e. They are awesome speakers. sufficent for your home and an inky pinky party. They fit your budget..
Since you have a sound card, they will run nicely with your PC as well..
For watching movies and playng games they are perfect.. All in all a great buy.. They even give certain Kiplisch speakers a run for there money..

Try the following links:

http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/sp...s/315&cl=in,en

Newegg.com - Logitech THX Z-5300e 280 Watts RMS 5.1 Speaker - Retail

And if you can up your budget a bit then nothing compared to Z5500..

But for your budget Z5300e will suit you.. Check them out..

Anyone seen the Klipsch iFi IPod Speakers?
IFI - Klipsch iPod Speaker, iPod Speaker System

Costs abt 23,000 here. Looks a beast. 8 inch subwoofer !!!!. Has got raving reviews on Amazon.

Only problem is the input, doesnt have the regular RCA inputs, just an auxillary. Ideal for computers. Anyone can find if it has seperate inputs for Left and right?

Rated better than the Promedia.

Z5500 is for boom lovers... Do you want a system to go boom boom boom? Thats all the Z5500 can provide.

His sony mini component is way better off than anything JBL has below the RTI range of bookshelves/floorstanders.... yes that includes all JBL car audio which is absolute rubbish IMHO.
