Can any one recommmend me a good model of sony home theatre system with CORDLESS speakers, even if its an front corded and back only cordless is also ok.

For under 10k, I'd suggest computer speakers. MX5021 sounds rather good when setup well. However the Klipsch Promedia 2.0 (~6.5k) is a better speaker if you are not a bass freak. Heard a lot of good about the AudioEngine AE2 but never have managed to audition it. Seemingly its excellent.

I have decided to buy the Philips DVD player DVP3166 with USB. I cant decide on which 5.1 speakers to go. I am not looking at a high end one. A 1000-1500 Watts PMPO will work for me. Checked Onida HTS 1000.

Not checked philips yet. Any other suggestions?

I want a 2.1 speaker system to complement my LCD tv. The hall is large 2250 to 2500 cubic feet. What speaker system would satisfy my requirements? Help anyone!
Any solutions for less than 10k, 20k or 30k? Lesser the better.

Checked out SP120 from Philips. Pretty cool. 140W RMS, Its got FM radio as well. Will work for me.

Anyone has experience with Studio Monitors? How do they fare compared to the Multimedia speakers?

Studio monitors are the most awesome form of sound reproduction that can ever be, but they are not really suited for day to day listening because unlike hi-fi speakers, they do not add any punch to the sound, they just give out what you put in. The purpose of studio monitors is basically for the technician to be able to hear exactly what is being recorded. Also, in order to effectively use studio monitors one has to do alot of acoustic correction, sound proofing etc in the room that one intends to put the speakers in.
