1. HTC
2. HP Ipaq

I personally use a Ipaq 2795. But for the features you mentioned above I feel HTC will be better. Go for a model with WM6 because it is much faster than WM5. Also if you go for one with GPS support, you can use it in your car also. Try to get one with VGA (640x480) resolution. Most PDAs come with lower QVGA (320x240) resolution.

I am using HTC Wizard for last 2+ years and ....touchwood, it is the best phone I am using till date. I adding a SPB phone suite s/w which gave extra stability and also fixed almost all the issues that are inherent with Windows Mobile OS.

A shop in Jayanagar called Channel 9. This phone is now officially available in India. So you should be able to buy it anywhere.

The iMate Ultimate 9502, ASUS P750 (no slide-out kbd) etc. have similar specs to the TyTN II. The P750 is about 29K. Any idea where and for how much is the 9502 available for in India?

Got a good deal on a HTC Trinity yesterday. Unlocked and flashed with WM6 within 20 minutes and a whole host of GPS software put on. Nice compact handset at a very good price. No keyboard but I do not send many text/emails so not really fussed. It has a built in GPS receiver which is a good plus point.

I now have map my india, tomtom, destinator etc etc all running on it.

curious to know your reason for quadband.

and btw... also look for phones small in size. i have an older imate which is bulky. can be a pain to carry at times.

If you lose the touch screen which I find pretty useless in a phone, you could also look at a Nokia E61i. Stable OS and lots of stuff that you could do.

To read reviews on various cell phones, try GSMArena.com - GSM reviews, opinions, votes, manuals, ringtones and more...

Touch Cruise appears to be a cool phone! Spoke to a retailer in Indiranagar and he quoted a 'special price' (since I called him up :-) ) of 30K.

Was your deal better? How is your experience with the Cruise? Is the lack of a Keyboard noticeable? How is the sound quality and GPS functionality?

Regards
