Also I just checked your link it says 45.5k for the 16Gb model

He keeps visiting US, so hopefully Warranty should not be an issue.

Thanks Pramod, that helps. I think i will go ahead with the purchase then

Guys, which battery bank do you recommend for the iPhone5 ?

Would want the bank to be as sleek but as powerful as possible.

This is a great deal. Have you ever bought anything from this site? Considering the high value, i want to be cautious before putting my money in.

My wife bought the phone from the above website - the same deal.
39k split into three installments of 13k each. No processing charges or anything.

Phone was delivered in 5 odd days.

You could look at Mophie Juice Pack Air or Helium. These are the the only branded ones I know.

Otherwise there are lots of Chinese ones available on amazon and eBay.

I would suggest a bit of google and ilounge.com for reviews to figure out which one suits your needs best.

I supported a project at kick starter for a battery case, expensive but seemed worth. Yet to be shipped as the design is still being perfected.
The product name is iKit NuCharge, sadly the project is no longer open for funding.

In the HS18 link you have to put the Gift coupon code mentioned on the superdeal page (GCCES9GENCHP) during the final payment which will give you a discount of INR 6505/-

Yeap, buying personally does help but this was just so that he got the phone with India warranty since he will be using it in India. But as you mentioned he keeps travelling to US so no issues there :)

I've bought an ipad 4, HTC One X+, a Laptop, and now the iphone 5. Never had any problems with them and the best part as mentioned by Eddy, no processing charges and the payment is split in 3 installments.

Congratulations Eddy! I just missed it - I logged in today morning all set to buy, but there is no stock left. May be next time :)

Any recommendation of a good quality and dry application screen guard for iPhone 5?

I Just ordered one for my iphone 4 from GadgetShieldz.in after looking at a friend's iphone 5. Its pretty good, and does not feel plasticky - its made of a more softer compound and covers the front/back and the sides.

However, its NOT dry application type. Instructions say you need to have some soap water, and then apply it carefully.

The reason I'm not fond of the wet application guards is that, every time post a few months, the soft material allows the film to roll/lift up a bit due to friction and then fabric/dust sticks to it ruining the whole film. Could just be the edge but look is ruined and eventually the film comes off :(

You might want to check Craigslist. You can find sparingly used phones for as low as 550$.

One of my friend bought a 4 month old ip5 16 GB from Craigslist. He had some battery issues and walked into an apple store and told them about it. The guy on the other side plugged in his diagnostic tool and confirmed that there was no issue with the battery but since my friend observed the battery discharging fast, he took his word. Gave him a brand new phone as a replacement! So, he got a brand new iphone 5 from the US for about 29K INR!!

Maybe Apple should do something about this. Its clearly a design flaw.

Apple has sent out $15 cheques to whose iPhones suffered from dicky phone reception...

What is the current running rate for the iPhone 5 16gb model in the market, specifically in Chennai?

I'm looking to get the 16gb version of it. Till date the lowest price I have seen is 42.5k offered by snapdeal.com

Any better offers?

Eddy, I am using the Mophie Juice Pack Air for the last couple of weeks and its pretty good. I guess not many options are there at present for the iphone 5. Just make sure you get the Juice pack air instead of the juice pack Helium.
