Just configured my office mails on wife's 3Gs and it got configured in one go and I am able to send and receive emails over 3G without any issues .
So this is definitely a bug with 4s .
Has anyone faced issue like this .

Cheers

This could be a bug with airtel.
I have experienced the data connection getting stuck in error state after a call was received or made.
I toggle the airplane mode or the network data setting to get it to work again.
You did say that it works fine for sometime after you toggle the network. Does it stop working after a call or does it stop working all on its own?

Another thing you could check is the fetch frequency. Some mail servers may restrict the number of pings they get i.e. If you have set the mail account for 'push', you could try turning push OFF and set it to fetch 'every 5 minutes'

Hope this helps.

I saw the keynote on YouTube. They explicitly mention iphone5 atleast for the iPhone platform. I think they may bring a watered down version though for older devices.
I'm sitting happy with my iPad 4 though ^_^

It will support iphone4 and up and ipad2 and up (including ipad mini). So most of devices are covered. Its just the UI anyway (take that Android)

Sounds interesting on features.

Iphone4 onwards are supported as per the list.

Sorry I was wrong earlier iPhone 4+ is supported. Here is a screenshot:

Both HTC One and S4 are only 3G phones. Only the IPhone 5 is 4g capable. Which phone should one buy? I was leaning towards the HTC One but now I am leaning more towards the iPhone .

None of the Phones in the market right now are compatible with the Indian 4G bands.
The best you can get is 3G (actually 3.5G called HSPA+), which can give you 21 mbps DL.
HSPA+is available in all the latest phones.

Prior to the iOS7 announcement I would have suggested the S4 citing dated UI but the future is looking bright for iDevices I would suggest you go for the iPhone 5 or if you can wait a couple months for the inevitable 5S you can save some money on the 5 should you chose to or buy the 5S itself Carcrazy60.

Watched the Keynote, iOS 7 looks really interesting, ofcourse as expected, some features from Android have made their way like quick menu & Multitasking but overall they have removed lot of shortfalls from iOS in this latest avatar.

Now only if they provide a bigger screen, I may think of switching :)

Thanks. I had called up both Samsung and HTC. Samsung clearly said the hardware required cannot be upgraded . HTC gave the the impression of no commitments but a belated upgrade could be possible. It seems a trifle difficult to buy in this range and not have the latest gizmo.

I have a two and a half year old E7 and these newer phones seem a lot more enticing.

A cross between Android and WP8. Running it since a few hours. A little unstable, app store crashed a couple of times. Good update overall.
