I've managed to sync my Iphone with gmail, but now the issue is with my BB. The updates happen on gmail, but don't get transferred to my BB. Guess I'm off to the BB thread.

Which BB do you have?

Its a 9900. Changes I make on my BB reflect on my gmail account, but changes on the gmail account don't reflect on my BB. Weird.

That is because only your BB will be sync-ed with your Gmail, it will be a one-way transfer.

Any one having problems with iphone4s always displaying the no service message when you are in an area where the signal is low? Also cant these people introduce a new micro sim for iphone users rather than cutting the old sim into a smaller size which i think is creating this problem.Your views are appreciated.

Are you using 3G Data? I was using 3G and often people would tell me that my phone was unreachable. I saw the signal bars go down often. I cancelled 3G and went back to 2g and all has been fine since. I am on Airtel in Chennai.

I have iphone5 and sim is cut to nano size. I don't think size of sim matters here. Also, you are just cutting the extra portion of the sim - just the excess plastic part around the actual functional area in metal.

What I heard is that iPhone abides by rules of certain worldwide regulations on the radiation limits. There will not be increase in the radio to boost the signal strength when the coverage is low. So it goes to no-service mode.

Wanted to share my experience on my iPhone 4. Been using it maybe 2 years now and past few months apps keep crashing and performance was always slow.
Yesterday I was trying to find my route in bright day light and to see the screen I increased brightness and set it to auto mode. Since then my phone has now been performing as new and no crashes at all... Am pretty sure this has helped as no updates have been run. So hopefully this helps a few.

Can you please elaborate more on this? What has screen brightness got to do with apps crashing? Even i own an iPhone 4 which is almost 2.5 years old now. of late i see that my phone has slowed down significantly, though i have app crashing issues occasionally. I am on iOS 6.1.2 with Evasi0n Jailbreak installed.

I am on 6.1.3 and factory unlocked. Try the settings I mentioned. Set brightness to maximum and to Auto. I don't know why it helps, but my experience..,

Check the signal strength with 3G disabled and 3G enabled - at the same location (didn't move an inch). This is on an iPhone 4 running 6.1.3.

This is why I switched back to 2G. Many times my phone was unreachable when I was on the 3G plan...

Simple,
With 3G, the signal strength is for a 3G signal (or HSDPA or UMTS)
Without 3G, the signal strength is for the regular GSM signal.

GSM coverage is much better than 3G right now.

iBlacklist review.

PS: this is only for jail broken phones.
