Finally updated 8.2 OTA. It showed 443MB.

Don't see much difference other than the Apple Watch app :D

After this update, I somehow feel a percievable imrpvement in the battery backup of the phone with my iPhone6.

Is anybody feeling the same too?

Regards
Rachit

I am planning to upgrade my iPhone and iPad. I already got rid of my old iPad. I Presently have a iPhone 4S and I love the build quality, the 5S was a planned upgrade but since its an upgrade why not the latest. My concerns are the build quality of the 6 and 6Plus. can some one using the above phones tell me about their build quality, are they scratch prone. I have dropped my phone couple of times, will the 6/6Plus survive an accidental drop?

Now coming to my iPad usage, I mainly used to use it for facebook youtube and some online reading including tbhp. I don't play games and I listen to songs through sawaan, so hdd size should not be a constraint. I don't want to spend a bomb for this but would definitely like to have one since I used to enjoy the large screen, Hence mini is ruled out. I can shell out something in the early twenties or may be less :)

Please suggest.

Nope.. but some cash-back which nets the price to 15-16k is worth it IMO.

Great deals on iPhones on Paytm. Just bought an iPhone6 64gb 52k! Thats the cheapest I have ever seen it online in India. Only catch is that the 9k discount on MRP is a PayTm credit that can be used for shopping, paying various bills, tickets, travel, etc

Correction - recharges and bill payments are not allowed on cash backs so effectively you will have to buy something from them ! Not really a cash back if you ask me.

Well, suggesting that a phone will survive an accidental drop or not will be very difficult. To me iPhone6 feels beautifully built as all Apple devices. The scratch tests on the Youtube shows iPhone6 fairing better than the iPhone5S screen.
Best would be to check the phone in person and see how it feels in your hand. I am sure that it will push you in favour of the iPhone6, because to me atleast, it felt amazing in the hand.

And if you buy iPhone6, get insurance just in case, as I did. lol:

On Amazon, the same phone is selling at 40,990/-

Yes amazon has given 5S as low as 25k during the Dec sale!! That was a steal!

Most of the 5S stocks available these days are refurbished ones. Please look for 6 rather than 5S.

Are you sure about this? The T and C say

* Promo codes are not valid for recharges, bill payments, bus ticket bookings, gift cards & deals

They do not mention that the cash back is not applicable. Its just the promo code.

If this is the case, buying from Amazon at 56.xx thousand seems like a better deal

Folks, is there a way to get rid of this album from iTunes?
This was something apple added to iTune as a default I believe.

I have the ipad1 and it has survived 5 years with two kids at home. I upgraded from the 4 to 6plus. I find it very convenient and cannot imagine how I used the 4 for 4.5 years. My 6 plus is about a month old now and don't regret the purchase. Get protection - shatter glass for front and back and a good case or pouch to protect the fall. I have dropped my iPhone 4 about a hundred times in my tenure and it survived due to a silicone case I used around it. Same thing for my ipad1. My 6 plus has a case too but without silicone. I have these two cases
CASEFORMERS http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NALNJ4A

And

Still deciding which I will keep in the long run. The first one is safer but bulky. The second one is convenient and can be used with or without the pouch but not as safe as the first.

Last thing is I purchased AppleCare for my phone and can replace a broken phone in the US over the next two years at a low price...
