Not throughout. In Chennai and NCR atleast they are operating on FDD Band 3 ie. 1800 Mhz. iPhone 5 supports FDD 3 ie. 1800Mhz.

Cheers!

thanks for the info. But Hyderabad is not in FDD list :(

IOS 9.0 has been laggy on my 5c. I did follow some tips to reduce background data usage and disabling spotlight search (for each application) and the phone is working fine now without any lags. Not sure if it makes that much of a difference but I did run the Geekbench benchmarks and it was way behind before I followed these tips and now it's fine. I did not find any improvements in battery consumption though as claimed by apple.

Noticed a bug in iOS9. My iPhone 6 no longer searches through contacts in spotlight search. It was initially searching after the update but is not searching anymore. Anyone else faced this?

Guys, can you claim warranty on an official India piece in the US or another international location? I believe the reverse is not possible.

Anyone tried something like it?

OT: My 6's battery has been awesome on iOS9 - 30 hours with full usage!

Yes you can. Also Indian shops like Maple must honour the warranty. If not just email Apple support, they'll contact the service provider.

A friend of mine got an ipod from Singapore replaced under warranty in Mumbai.

I have tried it. I used the spring from a push type pen. It's holding up since 2 months. Let's see how much more longer it can hold.

As far as i know, international claim is possible on ipods, wifi model ipads and macs only.
The iphones have region specific warranty cover, and can be claimed only in the country of purchase.
Give a call to apple support, they may be of better help

After the upgrade to ios9, I find a strange problem with the music player on my iPhone. When I first start playing a song, it plays at a low volume, even if the slider bar is at 3/4ths the volume. After 5 seconds into the song, if I restart the song from the beginning by hitting the last track button, it starts with the proper volume level as indicated by the volume slider. I'd like to know if it's just my phone.. Can someone kindly confirm? Thanks in advance..!

I can confirm a similar behavior on my iPad 2 for videos after ios9 upgrade. The volume becomes low if I play a video after pausing it briefly. To get the volume high again, I have to move a few seconds forward or backward in the video.

The interesting thing is that this used to happen for Facebook videos for me in ios8 itself. After upgrade to ios9, I see it happening for videos in other apps such as embedded YouTube videos.

Thanks people. Just to add, it happens when I listen with the earphones. Randomly checked twice without the phones and it was fine. Hope Apple fixes it soon.

Leave it on the charger for a few hours, or even overnight. Had a similar issue with my ipad, and it got fixed just by the above. You can even google it, its a common issue after not using a device for a few months.

Well what do you know?
I put it on charge two days back. Forgot about it, till last night, when I checked, and it was dead. Didn't bother to take it off, and this morning it was on full battery!
Geez, apple!
