I purchased two iPhone 6 Plus from the US and there is no compatibility issue with it here in India. I have used so far only Airtel sim in it though.

Errr...why did you expect there to be a compatibility issue? It's the same phone.

Do you get support for US bought iPhones in India though? I heard that's not available.

Few years back the 4G band supported in US was different than in India. Only 3G used to work on US iPhones when in India.

that was in answer to the previous post from another person who asked if the phone will work in India if purchased in the US. There are differences in the 4G frequencies but I am not certain.
I never had to take it to support till about two weeks back when some calls were tinny in my ear. Took it to the Apple Store and they ran a diagnostic sound test on it and said all is fine. No charge.

iOS 10.0.2 was automatically downloaded; installing it now.

Hope it resolves some issues users have been having; Avi's wifi issue for instance.

Thanks for the heads up, Nishad. Updated to iOS 10.0.2 last night.

Wi-Fi seems to be steady this morning, with no drops yet (although the update doesn't mention anything about this problem).

To early to tell though. Will report back in a day or two if this problem is resolved.

Thanks- I had no idea! You learn something new every day :)

Wonder why Apple is pursuing a strategy of pricing the newer phones higher in India than the corresponding phone in the US. Most everyone knows someone who can fetch the phone down for them in Christmas hols!

Have a query, has anyone faced it? Since 15 days now my airtel has dropped from 4G to 3G. Inspite of raising an SR with airtel no one knows where the issue is. They are asking me to get the SIM changed. Has anyone faced a similar issue? my 5s is just 3 months new!

I have a 5s and Airtel 4G too. For me, I get the 4G signal basing on the signal strength and availability. It varies between 4G, 3G and E.

If you are sure that your area has 4G (check with other Airtel users nearby), then reboot your phone once. I am assuming that you have already verified that 4G is selected in the Settings->Mobile Data->Mobile Data Options.

I wonder what one needs 128 GB and 256 GB for, on a phone.

My wife who's associated with the fashion business exchanges multiple high-res images on daily basis and since her iPhone 6 16GB wasn't adequate on storage we decided to get the 64GB version. She's recently started saving a lot of offline songs and I guess its only a matter of time before she hands over the 64 GB to me and get the 128 GB for herself. :)

Another question, how much would an iPhone 16GB sell for? I would soon have 2 16 GB iPhone 6 spare, one Space Grey and another Golden White.

16gb iphone 6 in good condition should go for anywhere between 20-25k, depending on the buyer, and your selling skills

I see paytm offering iPhone 6s 64GB for 57K plus 8K cashback.
Is it good to buy iPhone from paytm?

I think 30k would be a good price if it's in warranty and without scratches. A month ago it may have fetched a bit more but now with the iPhone 7 coming 30-32k would be my guess.
