Primary reason for staying with SE (& not a bigger iPhone) is the form factor ($$ being other). Apart from storage which I now find insufficient (lot many pictures and videos after daughter was born), battery is second concern. Battery health shows 82%.
1. Can we get battery replacement from re-seller stores? Will it be original or as good? Any idea on cost?
2. Worth replacing the battery, if I intend to use the phone for another 12-15 months?
I'm a gentle & light user and easily get 1+ days on a full charge these days. |
Irrespective of what battery % your phone shows, you are getting more than a day's battery life. Why would you want to change a perfectly good factory fitted battery?
That is correct. It has become laggy.

What do you mean? Are you saying that since announcement of new iPhone and watch, your existing ones slowed down ? |

PS - on 2nd thoughts, why replace the battery in the first place if it easily lasts a day? Battery health of 82% is still not bad IMO.
Cheers,

Thanks Vijay and Pancham. I'm not sure if it is warranted but thought of asking since I read somewhere battery would abruptly die and stopped charging altogether. I'm happy to continue as-is.
Battery is excellent on iPhoneX. Mine was picked up in Nov 2017, and 2 years on is like new. The phone is almost always on, and usage is heavy. New ones last almost 40% longer as per Apple - so should be even better.
Not a big fan of Apple and I am really disappointed with this launch. Apple used to have exponentially improved products vs the current launches that are incrementally better.
I agree with you on this point. I dont think that anybody would upgrade his iphone every single year. These new launches generally would make much more sense for a person who last bought his iphone 7 three years ago. For that person an iphone 11 will be a huge upgrade on speed, graphics and performance.
This new iPhone is technically a camera with smartphone attached rather than the other way around.
iPhones are expensive yes but it lasts a lot longer. Ever since the smart phone era came alive, I have used the iPhone 3G, iPhone 4, OnePlus 3 and now the iPhone X. OP was brilliant and the only Android phone I would go to it if I ever decide to switch sides again.
iPhone Xs and 11 were pure gimmicks with little to no addition and it was really disappointing. I am looking forward to the 2020 lineup and Ming Chi Kuo has mentioned that it will be a significant upgrade in terms of design and technology. Touch ID will return and that's a big big thing because Face ID is inconvenient at times.
The only gripe I have with Apple is their designs, the world has shifted to bezel less designs and iPhones still come with big notches. The OP 7 pro for example looks much better and futuristic in comparison.
I am thinking of getting an iPhone 11 Pro Max 512GB from the US but am bothered about 5G coming to India soon. If it does, I'll have to sell it off and get a 5G-supported iPhone and since, 11 Pro Max is priced quite high, I'll lose a considerable amount in selling it and will have to add even more for the new one. Hence, am in a dilemma that whether i should get it now or delay buying it. If 5G is not expected anytime soon in India, I'll like to get it. Would appreciate any help on this dilemma.

So its happened again, both my iPhoneX and Apple Watch3 slowed down big time. Some companies never learn |
Sure about this? I too have the same combo ( X and Watch), haven’t noticed any issues. Still going as strong as it was 2 years back.
Did you upgrade to iOS 13?
Hi, Very sure that it has slowed down. Will delete most stuff I dont need, that should speed things up. iOS 13 launches on Sep 19. Unless you are referring to the BETA

A mobile phone costing as much as a 150 cc bike in India? I don't understand how people see value in this. And these are the same ones blaming govt for high taxes.
