Help - problem with internet connection at home

I am in need of a reliable (and reasonably fast) internet connection in Ahmedabad, specifically in Maninagar.

I have done some googling looks like BSNL and Airtel are the only options (not to mention data cards here). If any of you have used either BSNL or Airtel in Ahmedabad, please share your views.

Another question: I am using Comcast connection (in the US) for last one year and one cool feature is that they provide Norton 360 free installation. So I had no need to buy an anti-virus. Do Airtel or BSNL have any such option? Otherwise has anyone used Microsoft Security Essentials and have a feedback to share?
