HELP!: I cant access Hotmail and Messenger!!!

I need some help guys. Everything on my PC works except for MSN messenger and the fact that i cant log into Hotmail. Does anyone have a solution???? Please!!!

Or it can be down, happened to me once, waited for couple of hours and everything went back to normal.

??? I Didnt understand anything of the above. Anyways, I cant acess it from my PC. I can access it from my Laptop.

It can also happen if you've installed an update that checks for "Genuine Windows software". Happened to my sis very recently.

Yes this can happen, also did you change any network settings in PC or Browser? Installed new version of browser?

That still doesnt make sense. As I said, I can log in from my dad's Laptop. But not my PC

I feel it could be the firewall blocking the messenger. Try disabling the firewall (Windows or 3rd party) and check if that has fixed the issue.

That Hasnt helped.

And I cant upload anything to teamBHP!!!! Damn This is getting extremely frustrating!!

Windows XP/Vista.. Boot into safe mode with networking. Press F8 during boot to access Advanced Boot Menu. Select "Safe mode with Networking" and let the computer boot. Log into your Windows profile and check if the internet works fine here in this mode. If it works fine in safe mode with networking, i am sure its the firewall.

That's probably because the laptop has a genuine OS and your desktop doesn't!

But i have never had this problem in months. Its only all of a sudden that this has happened.
