Did you format/clear the cache partition? If not, do it now. You wont loose any data. Always format the cache partition by going into recovery mode after every system update. Search the internet how to get into recovery for your particular phone model - https://www.androidpit.com/how-to-cl...he-moto-g-2014 . Keeps your phone nice, clean and fast.

Any help? Should I reset? Or wait for Marshmallow update? Or wait for a patch-up?
I am a type of person who wants things to run smoothly! At-least for an year from the date of purchase!
Sharing the video, pardon its quality!

I have Android 5.1.1 and my Moto g3 seems to work flawlessly. Which version is it updated to - can you post the version number?

That was the first thing you should have performed before and after the firmware upgrade. Factory reset will help you sorting out most of the bugs and will make your phone run smoothly for most of the time but won't fully make it fully bug free until you get 5.1 or Marshmallow update.

It's running 5.1.1 from factory. The update was for few security issues and bugs.
I didn't reset as I was in a hurry for a trip.
Will reset once I backup the data.
Thank you! :)

Here is the screenshot of the update message.

Hey folks! Did anyone get the free Mi4i screen guard from the MI website? If yes then how many days do they take to deliver it?

For my Redmi2, it took more than 6 weeks.

Hey! Thanks brother!
A question!
How much time it takes to clear that?
It's stuck on wiping cache since 5 mins :(

EDIT: Done! Wow! That was worrying me! lol

EDIT 2: The lag issue persists though! Darn it :deadhorse

Oh, those are security updates along with few minor updates, not a full firmware upgrade. As dkaile also suggested, wiping cache partition should help in this case. It doesn't take too much time and your data will also be safe. Just the steps are bit tricky for the first timers.

Follow these steps: https://motorola-global-portal.custh...p/30,6720,9197

If that doesn't fix then factory reset remains your last option.

Any idea if the update to Lollipop will be out any time?
No idea. Not very hopeful given Asus track record

Thanks so much for that useful information for Zenfone 2 users. So how's that ROM doing? Is it stable? Camera etc issues?

Hello,

A relative has got Marshmallow updates on LG Nexus 5 mobile. What would be the best way to install the update? Simply install it or factory reset and then install update (in which case would have to back up data of mobile on hard disk first). Any other thing to be kept in mind while doing the update?

Cheers,
S

You don't have to do anything. No backups needed. Factory updates are designed such that no data is lost with either Android or its apps and no factory reset is needed. Just accept the update and thats it!

Haven't had any major issues with the ROM apart from a couple of sudden auto restarts, which also did happen with the ZenUI. Camera app is very basic and hence would suggest that you install a better app for the same. Apart from that, the phone works fine and nothing hangs/crashes/lags. CM 12.1 is butter smooth and I feel that its a near perfect version of android.

Yes, have had some random restarts on my stock phone as well. Rare but has happened. Yes, I like CM - have used it on my old P500, Nexus 4 etc.

But is the stock ROM available for the Zenfone2? What if we need to roll back?

Hi guys,

What do you think about the Yu Yureka Plus? I've been using Cyanogenmod on my Nexus 7 for a year and love it's speed and lack of bloatware. On paper, the Yureka Plus seems to have it all. But it's almost a year since it's original launch.

Has anyone here used it? Is it still the best VFM under 20000? Are there any caveats? How does it compare to the Lenove K3 Note or the Coolpad Note 3?

Please help out with your suggestions!!! Thanks!!
