Stick to a T630 you can download a Music player if you have a MMC!

looks like you have lost your marbles or you dont do your homework well.

3200 has an ir port. I have myself transferred files with my friends 3200.

and again t630 cannot have a music player and more to it is it doesnt have a memory card support.

6600 is old generation phone now. Though it is good value it is not a good buy. Look at the newer phones.

6600 is a good and successful phone though.

Thanks for replying.

Planning to purchase a Mobile phone for this Deepavali.
Any guys staying in BLr, knows offers on MObiles?
and also,
I increased my budget to 8K.

May I know what are the Mobiles I can get in that range?
Basic Requirement:
Must:
Good battery: StandyBy and Talk time should be more.
Entertainment: Either MP3 or FM
Vedio: Good resolution Vedio recording and Streaming and images should print in good resolution.
MMC: atleast 64MB and should be upgradable to 500MB
Sotware: basic software to connect PC with Cables

Optional:
Games
User Friendly Keys
T9
and others

If I am asking for too much of Functionalities for that price, please forgive me.

Thanks.

boy Razr is no match for a 6600 for sure. Its just a fashion accessory. Buy a 6230(6230i is better with a megapixel) instead if you want to stick to nokia. you will get a mp3 player and a tuner. and you dont miss out on anything

some other options within 10k

around 8000 makes motorola E398 a great phone that helped motorola increase sales alongwith Razr. its got streo speakers bluetooth mp3 and a camera with flash. Additionally not many know that this phones got an ati graphics card for the excellent display. And those leds are very lovely.

old ngage at 7000 maybe the cheapest symbian phone. It is even cheaper than the 7650. U get and excellent hardware based mp3 player that doesnt hang on multitasking and sounds great. Also got line-in and a radio(lets you record songs from radio) plus you can get all the n-gage specific games that really play excellent. The sidetalkin thing is the only drawback but otherwise an excellent phone. you get the same pda functions as the 6600 here.

siemens sx1 at 9k gives you a radio, mp3player, camera, video, symbian, better office set of features, suerb sound and new design. downside maybe the odd keypad and siemens service. I have used one and will recommend this phone to all.

some above 10k

k750i and p910i are the best phones available in this range. Nothin beats these two.

dont the A780's from motorola's retail price but it is the best phone you can get at a very delicious price. But please check the price as I am not sure about the retail in INdia.

My friend got the A1000 for 15K. Dunno if its officially available but its got everything you need and I mean everything.

Mpx220 is again an excellent product. I dunno the retails but its close to the 6600 for sure. Has got an average megapixel camera plus lots of other excellent features.

my pick against the 6600 would be

1. nokia 6230(6230i) ties with siemens sx1
2. motorola e398
3. nokia ngage(old) boy sheer music manna it is

Siemens Sx-1 is not available now in the market Devarishi. They stopped production of this phone maybe about 6-8 months ago. You say you've used office features. please throw some light on what you used.

A1000- Brick Bat!!No sense buying this phone.

MPX220- Motorola never ironed out any of its features. Definitely not a good buy.

6600- Still agood buy though a tad bit slow due to Symbian.

E398- Definitely the best of the lot listed out here.

Cheers

hey dev

my choice is only between the 6600 or the razr(will be picking up one soon) right now, well the thing is have used most of the phones you have mentioned above expect the a1000 and the a378, and not quite liked them

not a big fan of motorola or sony ericsson ,altough love the razr v3 (not the v3x,has lost it's sleekness) ,the p910 and the k750i

the reason why i wanted to pick up an 6600 right now is to use it as a stop gap phone until the e70 comes out by next year march,

since the 6600 has the highest resale value in <10k phones ,is rugged and has plenty of softwares

since i have two gsm no's,will be picking up an razr (love the fone!) soon, just waiting for it's final price drop after the v3x is launched in india.

Aadix. The 6600 is a good phone and the prices are come down even more. A guy in my building picked one for Rs 9500/- with bill and warranty.

Pros:
64MB Memory card compared to earlier 32MB.
Phone still looks good.
Phone supports a lot of softwares.
Bluetooth, camera and infrared.
Very good contact list.

Cons:
The phone is slow, just like most Nokia's with Symbian OS/softwares.
Rubbish Camera.
No USB or data cable connectivity.
Disorganized Calendar.

I'd advice you to go for the 6630, which is right now Rs 14500/- and may come down in a week or so. But inside 10000, this is the best phone you can come across. If looking for gaming, it seems that the old N-Gage is still in shipment and you may get it. Most of my friends say its the best because its got just about everything you'd need except for a camera. Its got Bluetooth, Infrared, you can play games, Radio, MP3 Player, USB connection. I doubt any other phone has a direct USB port, the same wire that you use for a digital camera.

I don't know much about the Moto Razr. I personally think its awesome, although I've never operated on one. But its got style! Another thing, I've got some friends who have them and they say that the usability isn't sooo great, it just looks good and there is nothing more to it.

So u guys suggest 6600 or 6230i?
But 6230i costs 13K
and 6600 costs 10K in BLR
K700i don't have MMC. Not sure about the price.

Don't buy the Razr. Its one hell of a bull**** phone with crap resolution & even crappier camera. Two of my friends here have it & I just hate it. I had the option of getting it too ( was free with T-mobile)..didn't bother. It just looks nice...thats it. I feel sorry for those who bought that phone for 30k when it was new.

hey aadix

check if the e680i if it is in your reach. superb multimedia monster this 1 is with stereo bluetooth. 6230(6230i) and e398 are still better than 6600(get 6630 instead anyday). It will fetch you the same resale as a 6600. while even the best camera phones are not comparable to a digicam old n-gage is the bestthing to own. May cost you just 6k(not sure)

razror has always been a looker but no performer.

sx1 production has stopped is true( I am a member at club-siemens.net forums too) but the phone is a classic. beats 6600 hands down

A1000 is not in any sense a brickbat. Has got great sound and a same UI as SE p910 with a 1.2mp camera. remains a better buy if u dont need that small cramped se keyboard.

buy n-gage. The only music phone you will love and the games are the best you can have in a mobile phone. the only weak point is the sidetalking.

n-gage
6630i
e680i
6230(6230i)

all the above phones are way better than 6600. see which you have not used. though 6600 has been a best seller its way outdated now.
