You have CDA R5? CDA R5 is R9 of the Phone firmware.

@navin & rodeo:i was planning to buy the p990i.im using an imate jam and was looking for a phone which had touchscreen,a numeric keypad and a keyboard.since you guys have been using this phone for a long time now,do you suggest i should purchase this phone or wait for the p1 or some other phone.am really confused since i have been reading a lot of mixed reviews.

was looking at this phone since the retail price is now 19k with bill.

Lasrt week, I purchased P990i for 19k.
I think its worth for this price and satisfied till now.

It helps me with my needs
1. Push mail
2. Calendar Sync
3. Access home wireless internet
4. And use GPRS while moving around.

They mention 6 months warranty from the seller..no manufacturers warranty ..

And P 990 i was on sales in TOI for 14,999 last week..

looks like stock clearence before the arrival of P 1 i

P990 has become so much more stable from the time I bought it first. I have upgraded the firmware thrice and this is finally usable. Given the current price and stability, i think its worth it now.

Only issue is i dont find too many free software for it. Even Skype is not available for it.
