3 mins to go, should be cool, looking forward to getting Android 4.3 on my Galaxy Nexus..

Based on things shown so far, it eliminates need for Android updates...

New features can now be pushed via Google Play in place of Android updates.

No news on new version of Android, but pretty excited about new Google All Access Music, new Hangouts, new Maps, new Google+. Lot of updates to APIs which should make developer's life easier.

I might be posting a duplicate post but haven't seen anyone posting regarding LG Google Nexus 4 available on Flipkart for pre booking for Rs25900. Release date mentions as 4th week if May.

The other important part was Google announcing S4 on stock Android. And that would be available via Google play.

Very intresting move. Is it an indication of end of line for Nexus products ?

And S4 nexus edition is just a stop gap to buy time for MOTOROLA to come up
some thing formidable ?

As a galaxy nexus owner, I am disappointed on hearing this announcement of S4 GE. It is also an indication of the clout Samsung has, at Google.

This makes S4 an interesting phone. I have a S3 and Nexus 4, this takes best of both and combines in one phone.

1. SD card and removable battery (things because of which Nexus 4 is not my primary phone).
2. Powerful hardware
3. NO Smasung bloatware/crapware

Looks like Nexus 4 is officially coming to India.

Flipkart is now taking pre-orders for the phone. And the best part is the rate at which is available 25990/- clap:

Let alone KLP, we don't even get any minor updates to the existing Android 4.2?

Only one thing I was expecting from the Google I/O and they don't deliver. Sigh.

Agreed, 4.3 was expected, but did not come. Did you watch the keynote? Larry Page's speech was really inspiring. The other improvements made are mostly for developers .
I think we should still expect Android 4.3 sometime soon. It has been seen on the developers site and on many websites' logs..

Got this message on my S4 yesterday.
What can i buy from Samsung app store ? Any suggestions?

@manson, XZ did have an upgrade and the upgrade went smoothly. The black notification bar is now present and so is the screen calibration tool. fixed issues with stamina mode messing up led and led flash notifications are also in. camera picture quality in auto is supposedly improved, although i am yet to test that.

Thanks for confirming. Also, I distinctly remember the phone skipped step no. 2 / 5 in the initial setup. Updating the phone as I post.

sorry, i meant battery pack. Sony has this 7000 mah battery pack for about 5.5K that should give me close to 3 full charges on the phone.

So if I update via Sony, do I need to back anything up or is everything automatic? Do I need to back my SMS'es, numbers?
