Hi,

I'm planning to buy Sony Xperia SP by this weekend. I got an offer price @ 23.5k. Looking for a feedback from our bhpians.

What can i buy from Samsung app store ? Any suggestions?

Hi Jaxy. Congrats on the Galaxy S4. I never thought I'd buy this phone but I saw one in the Samsung Cafe showroom and instantly fell for that brilliant screen and wonderful camera. I got one in black.

I got this message too today. Nice little untold incentive for the S4 owners. My gift card says it expires July 1st so assuming yours might too.. Keep an eye on that :)

Have fun. it's a lovely phone. And oh! I got the S View cover for the phone and it is great (over the normal flip cover). A worthy accessory in my opinion (only).

It is pretty good, but look at the recently launched Nexus 4 as well. For roughly the same price (about 10% more), you get a much more powerful and up to date package.

Yes the nexus 4 Is a brilliant phone.
But it doesn't have an SD card expansion option.

I went in for the Xperia Z because of the SD card expansion and the Full HD screen

Check out a specs comparo here:

The SP does have a bigger battery, but that will not necessarily translate into a longer running time.

The Nexus 4 though will definitely be faster.
Smoother OS and Quad Core Procc.

Spruce: with WiFi and few calls batterywas down to 25% in 6 hours, is it normal for first time

I noticed lower battery life for the past 3-4 days on all androids in my family (decrease of around 20-30%). I think we can relate it to some service updates being pushed from Google servers. May be the new "app data sync" is taking some time for an initial set up. Between, what was the screen ON time in this 6 hrs? Heard like Z screen squeeze out a lot of battery. :thumbs up

Sprucegoose: We cannot really compare Xperia Z with the Nexus 4. They are in different classes. As far as my experience goes, 16 GB internal memory is not really a deal breaker. One can easily live with it, unless you are going to load hundreds of movies and heavy games . I lived with 8 GB iPhone 3GS for over 2 years. :)

On a side note, Xperia Z is a wonderful phone and we are going to buy one for my wife pretty soon.

I thought its pretty obvious he said "battery was down to 25%" . :D

@madbullram, when you go to battery statistics, where you see the graph, what is the application on the top and the % usage by that application?

Not comparing the two.
I would have gone for the nexus 4 of our had a full HD screen and an SD card slot.

@madbullram I wouldn't really know. I'm not really up and about right now. Will let you know

I too got this message a couple of days back. Pretty generous on Samsung's part I feel. :) Have you purchased anything yet? And I hope we can purchase multiple apps (which add up to the given amount). Someone please suggest a useful app which I can make use of.

Where are you getting that deal?

I've been following the phone for quite some time and have also demoed it.

-The camera isn't the best in the category
-Display angles aren't too great
-Speaker volume is a bit low

Otherwise its a good phone, but IMO, a bit expensive. Will get this or the Nexus 4. I've read the Nexus 4 has heating issues (?). That's a big NO for me. Still undecided though.

Hangouts update on my gnex.
