At the end of the day when i get back home i am usually at 15-20% battery level. |
I am getting somewhat same backup... Just that the unavailability of official 4.4.2 update is a bit saddening.
Has anyone purchased the New Moto G yet? Wanted an impartial review of that phone.

The phone is super smooth to use. The battery life is awesome. Lag is the thing of the past. I dont game so cant comment on that part.
Most apps work flawlessly. There are a few limitations but all liveable.
If you would like to know anything in particular, please let me know.

Why AV? Has anyone else here got AV on their phones? Is there a use-case?
I really don't think that AV is required for phones. Been on android since G1 and never felt its need.
Nexus 4 owners - which in your opinions, is the best custom ROM for it? And what kernel are you running it on?
Looking to finally root the device and haven't decided on a ROM yet. Looking for one that is minimal and uses less battery :D

Im currently using Mahdi ROM with HellsCore kernel! The best combo! Lots of handy features and not a single fc or reboot. Using this setup since 2months now.
Can someone suggest a good spam SMS blocker? The default SPAM option doesn't work. The SMSes come from aliases like AM-<XXXX> these days, and trying to add them to phone's spammer list shows an 'invalid number' error.
Phone: Galaxy S3 running stock 4.3. Not rooted.

I use Blocker ( free version ) on s3 and its been serving well.
You have the option to block SMSes and Phone calls that start with a certain number. I have blocked all sales calls starting with 1140*
Guys, I had bought my Galaxy Grand Duos I9082 from Malaysia mid 2013. I am not getting the official update to 4.2.2. Whenever I am checking for updates, it says "The latest updates have already been installed" . Is something wrong?

Samsung release updates for phones region wise unlike Nexus devices which get a worldwide release. The update will come when the Malaysian specific csc gets the update not when the Indian one does.
Although you can flash a Indian or other region firmware which got the update on your phone if you in a rush.

Even purity ROM is good. Purity ROM with matrix kernel is a nice combination.
Guys,
I own a Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos I9082, bought in mid 2013. In a small accident I broke the display and glass. Samsung ASC quoted some 7-8k for the repair job including replacing the body panel which had some scratches. Same job I got done from outside at almost 50% of the cost. The phone is doing fine now, but, noticed both IMEI numbers have changed (last 3 digits) but, matches the sticker on the new back panel. It does not match with invoice (Flipkart) and the original box it came with. The repair guy says he did not change the motherboard. Kies works fine and android device status is still "Official" with 4.2.2 on it.
I have following 2 questions:
1) How can IMEI change w/o changing the board. Is it a problem to have a different IMEI number than the invoice. What are my options- should I get a repair bill from the Guy or tell him to restore back my IMEI somehow?
2) I want to put some custom ROM preferably 4.3 or 4.4- pls suggest what would be the best custom ROM for this model.
tia,
-BJ
