A quick search on good gives negative answer.

Issue still persistent.
Frequent lose of network.
Errant discharge of battery.
Lots of issues after latest update.

Yes, I have mentioned that in my post. :)

Agree with @livyodream. My friend is also experiencing all of the issue listed above. In all this fiasco, you get a feeling that somehow FK is trying to cover up Moto a lot. Must be a business reason, but not expected from FK.

Well I have been using the moto g 16gb version for more than a month and not encountered a single issue ( touchwood ) ! I think it is a select lot which is facing all these issues

Swiftkey for Android is now free on the Play Store.

IMO it's the best keyboard app out there. Get it while its hot fellas!

Thanks SpeedDemon for that update, was fed up with the stock keyboard...

I use Google keyboard. It has a swype feature and works pretty well.

No doubt. I am using it since last one year and it's the best. Now will install it in dad's phone also.

Saw a youtube clip on converting the htc One to pure Google Android. Since mine is a Sprint htc One (CDMA+GSM) and no longer rooted I did not follow through.

Have you updated? as that is when the users are facing these issues i.e post updation.

A friend of mine is using since 3 months without any issue, but haven't updated yet.

I too own a moto G and I have updated to 4.4.2.

So far I too haven't faced any issues.

However, I am seeing some reports saying that the WiFi signal keeps dropping and GPS takes forever to lock once we update to 4.4.3.

H@rsh@l, could you please confirm?

Planning to buy Moto X. Is there any option other than flipkart?
Any other last minute suggestions. I don't want a big phone..so anything 5" and above is ruled out.
Good build quality, latest OS, fast performance, at least 1.5 GB RAM is what I am looking at..screen size 4.3 to 4.7"

All Moto phones are sold exclusively by Flipkart only.
How about Nexus 4/5?

Thanks...
Nexus 4 though having same screen size as Moto X -I din't like the form factor. It is very wide and can't be used for one hand operation. It is much bigger than Moto X. Motorola has done a stellar job of keeping the size of Moto X small even with a relatively big screen of 4.7". In fact Moto X is slightly smaller than Moto G and lighter too.

Nexus 5 is again too big for me.

My Note II is losing battery like anything. Last night I charged it fully. Without any usage, it was at 20% this morning. When I check the battery usage pattern 70% was due to 'Android System'. The 'Screen' used to be the main battery drainer in past.

Have done 2 reboots. No luck yet. Any pointers from fellow BHPians?

I seem to have cracked the typical Samsung modus operandi. You buy a swanky phone upwards of 30k INR. It works great for months and then suddenly a firmware update comes in. This firmware update does not add any value, but surely slows down the phone and also drains battery faster. You suddenly start feeling like a new phone and that is EXACTLY when Samsung comes out with another flagship phone - S5 or Note 3.

I have been using the nexus 5 since a month now. A big leap from the LG P500 I had been using before.
Couple of days ago I upgraded to version 4.4.3 and now have this problem when exiting an app using the return key. Before the home key appears, another app that's running in the background pops up. I need to clear all the background running apps then which I don't do always.
Anyone facing the same and any fix?
