Want to gift an Android to my mother. Performance etc doesn't really matter, but camera does, as it is the only thing she is likely to use daily. Budget: 7-10k

Considered Moto E - but camera quality is a concern

Zenphone 5 - not sure about reliability. Friend who got it had to retutn it owing to poor call quality. Read a similar user review on some website too. Could users here please comment?

Moto G - how is the camera compared to the Zenphone 5?

OT:
I see the Zenphone 5 (8GB, Gold) in stock on Flipkart now! Saw it yesterday too. Some fellow members seem to be having a tough time sourcing it??

You may also consider Nokia XL or the soon to be launched X2.

I think one should stay away from Nokia X series phones due to this - http://www.gsmarena.com/microsoft_ki...-news-9060.php

..

If you can wait, Redmi 1S should be here in a week or so. That thing blows everything else out of the water in this price bracket. I wanted to buy that over the E but it didn't launch in time. Picked up the E eventually.

Overall the phone is great for the price. Doesn't feel like a 7k phone at all!

+ Good build quality
+ Voice call quality is great
+ Loud and clear speaker
+ Touch response is good
+ GPS lock is very fast (checked in airplane mode)
+ Screen is crisp and bright - legible under sunlight
+ 720p videos play without any problems
+ Expandable memory - upto 32gb

- Fixed focus camera - takes decent enough pics in bright conditions. Don't depend on it in low/night light. The exposure can be changed depending on what you are trying to capture.

Tired of the flipkart mi3 selling process. Was logged in long before 2 PM and was waiting for the countdown.Sharp at 2 clicked the buy now button to see Sold out status :Frustrati

If so cant we just buy it from here? What is the catch?

Beware. There are a lot of fakes of Xiaomi products doing the rounds due to limited stock.

P.S. I have bought another MI3 - was trying out the sales process just for kicks. Is anyone interested to purchase? I have time till midnight tomorrow to make the payment to FK.

P.P.S Thinking of putting it up for auction, considering the limited availability :D

I was logged in since morning and as soon as the "Buy Now" button activated, I clicked on it only to see the "Out of Stock" message.

I badly need a new phone and was seriously considering the Mi3 but lost out the last 2 times.

I would like to buy the phone from you. Do let me know the details - are you expecting more than what you paid? If yes, how much? How will you ship the phone to me? Change shipping address in flipkart or any other methods? Do let me know. I plan on registering again (:Frustrati) for the next sale.

Guys, which browser are you using? I've heard the counter on chrome is slower by 2 seconds compared to counter on Firefox. This is not credible information but just hearsay.

I was trying on Firefox and could buy it in my first attempt.

Yes, I heard this from a person who bought it in office. He swears that by using Firefox, he was able to place the order.

Severely OT but might help someone....

Luck guys, it's just pure luck. There is no explanation as to how these phones get sold in under a second.

I was also using Firefox, the latest version (31.0) and still nothing. :Frustrati

Logged in Flipkart at 13:50 using Firefox, Opened same page in two tabs, pressed "Buy now" at 14:00 in both, got added immediately! My wife wanted one. Hence she asked me and many of her colleagues. Everyone tried buying and everyone using Firefox got it, two who used Chrome and IE 10 (In same networks! Again as n_aditya says It just pure luck and coincident!).

Now except me (I did place a order), everyone removed it from their cart as its not needed! If same is done by many, mostly half of phones remain unsold! Why such drama Flipkart?

If I visit flipkart now and go to Mi3 page it says Out of stock and register for Aug 19th.

However If I visit my order and click on Mi3 page, it takes me to link

http://www.flipkart.com/mi3/p/itmdxs...BDXSVH7HHHNK8J

Which says adding Mi3 to your cart. See image.

Loosing interest after second try.

"Out of stock" message. If you do end up with the phone, please reserve it for me. :)

@Raguholla - why remove it from the cart?:Shockked: You could have sold it to lesser mortals like us.
