Hi Rehaan,
My settings are as follows. GPS is working fine with my mobile nowadays..
BTW, got the SIM changed today. Seems to be working fine now. Phone was reachable while at office after the change. Will be updating the final results tomorrow or by Monday.

I have motorola milestone over past 2 months & I am enjoying every bit of it. Android is a definitely a challenge to Apple OS & MS OS.

I have observed only one limitation till now & that being not sure if it will get Android 2.2 Froyo, as according to Motorola's official communication, this decision is under evaluation.

OT I guess.

Checked out my friend's HTC Legend;looked very plastiky to me :(

Actually Legend seems to be of much better build than say Samsung Galaxy S. Not sure what you meant by plastiky as the phone is made of a single piece aluminum.

^^@kaushik, I think you have mistaken Nexus One build for Desire and they share the same colour along with internals. N1 has an unibody construction metal body but Legend is built similar to SGS with plastic at the rear. The quality of plastic, I don't know since haven't seen one in person yet.

As for the build of SGS, I have noticed a small rattle in the chrome trim on top of the screen near the connector port, head phone port and ear piece when pressed. Have you noticed the same in yours? Otherwise the build seems to be fine but the back plastic has a tendency to get scratched easily.

I'm talking about the Legend only, but now I'm bit confused as it has been some time since I've hold the Legend and that time I felt it to be well built. And I'm pretty sure that it was single block aluminum but I'm kind of unable to remember the feel of the back cover though. Will check again. Nexus One is obviously of a better build.

Exact same thing here too. You can depress that part a lil'. So I guess it's a common thingy for SGS.

HTC Legend is a solid phone, Aluminium unibody construction.
N1 too is built around a Aluminium chassis which wraps around the phone and two plastic panels - battery cover and lower part.
HTC Desire i think is based on a an aluminium chassis, but of different design, since both N1 and Desire weighs almost the same.

Oh yes! My bad, I was talking about Desire. Got confused between Legend and Desire. Legend too is a metal unibody phone and when I held it, found it too slippery. Desire has a soft touch matt plastic cover at the back holding the body, quality of which looks to be better than SGS, but haven't seen it. Legend was long out of contention when I was looking to buy SGS due to inferior specs and slightly higher price. I feel if Legend is priced on par with Samsung Wave, it will do wonders.

Absolutely correct. They can reduce the price of Legend to be in and around 15-17k and that phone gonna sell like anything. 24k is bit too much for the low specs that the phone have.

I bought Samsung galaxy 3 , I5801 about a week back.

The gps seems to be really bad on this. I am not sure
whether it is on my phone only. Can some one confirm the gps performance on samsung galaxy 3.

Try with the gps test from android market.

I tried on open area with my iphone and with the other android mobiles like HTC Wildfire and Sony X8. In all these phones the GPS picks up the signal in less then one minutes but in galaxy i5801 some time it takes more then 10 minutes but the signal keeps dropping off. Some times it takes much more then 10 minutes. Before gps could catch the signal I arrived the destination etc.

Cam some one please confirm the GPS performance on samsung i5801.

rreddy18 - Where in Blore did you buy the I5801 and how much did you pay? I have been looking for this phone and no seller has it!
