Are you talking about the old Nexus, the Nexus S?
The new one is around 30K on ebay. I don't have anybody in the US to send it but do point me to a retailer if it is available at less than 30K.

The old Nexus S is available on Ebay for Rs 17.5k.

The new Nexus is quite overpriced on Ebay. I checked at Alfa, Irla yesterday and it was for Rs 23k.

For anyone thinking of buying the Galaxy S3, there's a Homeshop 18 superdeal for it coming up starting at midnight today. (These deals sometimes last only a few hours, so you may want to order it as soon as it opens)

HomeShop18.com Superdeals: Samsung Galaxy S3, Apple iPad 3, HTC Desire C, Sony Vaio, Dwarika Kurti-Legging Combo, Vivanta Jewellery Combo

They haven't specified the prices yet, but extrapolating from their recent super deals it should be in the 33K to 35K range. (The lowest online price I saw elsewhere is around 37K).

Guys is there anyway to delete the default messaging app of touchwizz? Im quite happy with the GoSMS app but in notifications, the default one crops up all the time and it appears as if ive double the messages unread.
In fact if possible i want to replace all the touchwiz apps with GoApps except SNote. Is there anyway to do that?

Thanks.

What make of mobile are you using, In default messaging app, you can go to settings and then notification options can be disabled from there. Once done, notifications from only GoSMS will be prompting.

I hope some body answers this?

I am getting a Samsung Galaxy SII , brand new w/ B&W, for 24k, exact.

Is it still worth this kinda money? Or should I go in for some other phone??
I am need to gift this on Monday, Please reply ASAP.

SII @ 24k is brilliant. I dont own a S2 but have atleast 4 friends who do and i must say the phone is super. All 4 of them are very happy with the phone in terms of operation, UI, battery etc. I would safely say its a "future" proof phone. Currently official ICS 4.0.4 is already there & Also i read a few pages ago that Samsung is going to release JB 4.1.1 for SII around end of August. So you wont feel left behind for sure.

So i would say, go ahead with it.

Regards,

Im using note with ics. Is there anyway to keep just Snote app and get rid of all Samsung apps? It eats up my ram unnecesarily.

You can use Titanium Backup to remove unwanted apps.

But will i require root? Ive not rooted because of some bug that bricks the phone or something like that. So whats your advice?

ROOTING won't brick but factory reset would. You can go ahead and root.

Would it be possible for you to share the shops details where you are getting this quote from, at this rate it is a very good deal as the current going rate is around 27.5k

The phone is good BTW.

Cheers

In my Galaxy Ace, ever since I updated it to Gingerbread, the Dial-pad input is like the US phone number system (XXX-XXX-XXXX). How do I change it back to the Indian one?

I am out looking for an Android smart phone for <= 30k

Have the following quandary, any inputs from the experts would be much appreciated.

Sony Xperia S
Liked
- The overall look and feel
- Awesome super fast camera
- Great browser rendering/images

Don't like
- Battery life , looks like it does not even last a day

Samsung Galaxy S2
Liked
- Everything
Dont' like
- Felt slightly bulky
- Its kind of out dated with SIII come in

Intel Xolo X900

Liked
- Processor felt very fast
- Great pricing

Dont like
- Camera quality
- Limited memory max 16 gb, no expandable

Motorola Razar Maxx
Liked
- Great battery life

Dont like
- Not sure about Motorolas after sales service network

All in all, I would have gone for the Sony Xperia S but for the battery fear.
2nd choice is the Motorola Razar Maxx.

People owning the Xperia S , can you confirm on the battery life ?

Why not consider the grand-daddy of all Android phones - The Samsung Google Nexus? Even if you order from Ebay, you'll get it for Rs 27.5k landed. Else, ask a friend to bring it from US for around 22k. Your local grey market should have it for 24-25k.

Also consider the HTC One S.
