Add me to that list. :) Its been over a month since I have been using my Galaxy SL i9003. Its a great phone and in my opinion the Super Clear LCD is as good as the SuperAmoled in everyday use. The features are superb and a 4-inch display looks like a million bucks everytime I pull it out of my pocket. Sure shot attention grabber. And unlike most people, I dont really miss an LED flash for the camera.
My only grouse is that the battery lasts slightly more than a day under moderate to heavy usage which includes Mobile AP Tethering (which by the way is useful only if you are on 3G).
My advice, pick up the i9003 without a second thought if your budget cannot reach 23 grand to pick up the HTC Desire S or the Incredible S.
Anyone has any idea when the 2.3 upgrade is coming up for the SL? please:

Also, does anyone know where I can get a hard case & screen guard for the Desire S. None of the retail stores seem to have it and neither can I find any on FlipKart \ ebay.in. . |
I agree with Samurai. The Gorilla glass dosnt really warrant a screen guard. Just avoid keeping keys and coins in the same pocket as the phone to be on the safer side. My Samsung Galaxy SL has suffered a lack of touch responsiveness thanks to a branded screen guard adorning it :Frustrati. I plan to peel it off and discard it pretty soon.

I was told in alteast 3 shops that Galaxy Ace has been stopped and instead Galaxy Pop and Galaxy Fit has been introduced. Can anybody confirm this? |
All 3 are available at different price points.
Got my first Android phone - HTC Desire S running on Gingerbread 2.3.
Awesome phone & excellent OS!

Are you sure about the pricing? I remember it was retailing around 28k last week.
By keeping the phone in battery saver mode and disabling the background data, I am able to stretch the Defy battery life beyond a day.
Taken today morning.

Guys - I need help for corporate email (MS Exchange).
I've tried K-9 mail, Native email app and RoadSync for configuring my office email ID. However:
1. K-9 mail - Just doesn't configure. So I gave up.
2. Native Email client - again, doesn't connect
3. RoadSync - Configuration was a breeze, but the app has a lag in opening the client and mails. Hence uninstalled
I'm yet to try TouchDown. But the paid version is anyway very expensive (Rs 900 odd). So please suggest alternatives!
I'm moving from BlackBerry to Android. So please suggest an app which makes me least uncomfortable (I don't want to hate Android for it's inability to match BB mail delivery service)

Hi - Yes I have configured Touch down on my Galaxy S to access my corporate mail server and it works like a charm. All the settings are detected automatically by the app. The downside is that it is a free app only for a month post which you have to either buy the license or do a re install. Hope this helps |
I downloaded touchdown but have not been able to configure it. the settings are not detected automatically and am trying the manual option. can you help me out here or ping me your number pls?
Thanks.
Nish bhai,
If the company was paying for blackberry - tell them to pay for TouchDown. They'll recover the savings in 6 months :D

@phamilyman - Kaash tum mere company ke Admin Head hote!
They are paying for the monthly data service no doubt - but it's a task in itself to convince them about TouchDown.
Got my Moto Defy today, Letsbuy was quick on delivery. Had ordered the cell on 26'th April and got it on 28'th April. Phone is pretty light and the screen is a delight, found the touch very responsive.Only issue is that the screen is a fingerprint magnet, need to get a Mat finish screen guard, although this might compromise the touch experience. More reviews later.
Is there any software for Andriod, which can be used to chat with BB users? Something like an Andriod version of BBM. There are apps like WhatsApp, Cnectd and PingChat, but these apps need to be installed on the other BB's too. I would love to have something installed on my phone and chat with my BB pals.

This is interesting. You want a plastic screen guard over a Gorilla glass display.:D
That is like wearing leather armor over Kevlar suit. |
Nice. Was not aware the phone had Gorilla glass. Would still like a hard case to protect the unibody construction.

vCash - Lotus traveler - but needs to be enabled by your admin & they need to be running domino 8.5 |
BB's are configurable. Does that help in determining domino 8.5? Also, Is Lotus traveler an app. Or can mails be run natively?
