So far Motorola have had one of the best track records at updating the Android software, especially the Droid (CDMA sister phone of Milestone).
Already rumours of Android Froyo coming on Moto Droid soon (July/August). Milestone versions follow Droid versions very quickly.

Picked up a nexus one last week and the phone is just close to being brilliant.

Wanted to know jassi, have u picked up any accessories? Like a hard case, screen protector for your n1?
Since google has stopped marketing the phone directly even the web store is closed now. So any idea on the best source to pick up accessories?

I am stuck between the Nexus one and HTC desire. Have seen and love the N1, yet to check Desire out. Sigh, temptations! :(

Android 3.0 will run on nexus one as per the rumored minimum specs - make sure the htc desire has the base specs to run android 3.0 and you are good :-)

The HTC desire does have the specs required for 3.0 but wont the update be out first for the nexus one just like 2.2 is ?

After not letting myself to give in to buy the HTC Legend, now I'm torn between Samsung Galaxy S and HTC Desire. Experienced my friend's the Nexus One and I just loved Android. Galaxy S and Desire are fighting hard to be the Top daug and considering Samsung being available officially i might go for the Samsung. Or should I wait for the Desire to be officially available? Gosh I should've bought the Legend and could've saved some bucks ;-)

hopefully nexus one should in all probability get it first - possibly months in advance just like with 2.2 release!

Just a little update, show some good offers on ebay (weekly deal) on Samsung Galaxy S for 27.5k (1 Yr Manufacturer Warranty) and HTC Desire for 25490Rs. (No manufacturer warranty, just dealer warranty of 3 months). Sounds like a good deal for the Galaxy S considering 28.5k market price. But also seems like that we might gonna see some further price cuts.

Kaushik,
Could you please PM me the dealers who were offering you the HTC desire for 29k? I am looking around, but haven't been able to find even one guy who's selling desire. I saw the ebay deal, but I am kinda skeptic about buying it off an internet site without actually taking a look at the phone. Too many hassles if things go wrong with phones that haven't been launched yet. If I don't find anyone soon, I'll probably go with ebay.
