Re: Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) and Team-BHP problems

Yes adding tbhp to compatibility mode helps. Installed IE9 a while ago and seems like a decent browser, but still does not offer same feel that Firefox 4 offers.

Re: Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) and Team-BHP problems

I too use FF4, good. Chrome never worked for me in Windows 7. Everytime I open any site, I get Ahhh..Snap. Left out Opera due to the Script issues.

Use IE 9 only for banks.

Even I use Firefox 4. It's good. But IE9 is bloody fast, unlike the previous versions of IE.

Bumping the thread up, as we've been receiving a train of queries on this problem. Hopefully, Microsoft will fix this issue soon.

Re: Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) and Team-BHP problems

Actually it is not the fault of IE9 or Microsoft. The problem is that the IE9 brings in a host of changes in the way it implements the latest standards and object models. It also breaks away from the way it announces itself. Thus many old JScript libraries fail badly when they try to sniff the browser and its version. They also try to use functions and objects in a way that are not supported anymore.

If anything the JScript libraries need to be updated as the archaic ones are not to the latest standards. Ever thought why IE-9 starts working remarkably well the moment you set the Compatibility mode to On? That is because IE immediately realizes that your local JScripts libraries can not interact with it as per the latest applicable standards. So it switches back to "emulating" the old standards and the same website starts working.

Bump again, mods might consider making this thread a sticky. Got a new laptop which comes with IE9 preinstalled and was not able to post on the forums till I came across this thread

Re: Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) and Team-BHP problems

Adding team-bhp.com in the Compatibility View Settings as indicated in my post #7 in this thread should resolve the problem. Even on my laptop I have done this and all my posts come through this way. No problem.
