Re: Should I buy the Citroen C3 Turbo?

I'm waiting eagerly for a new variant of the c3 spotted testing recently. The only missing feature which is keeping me aways is the AT. I have large sections with bumper to bumper traffic in my daily commute, and MT is a deal-breaker after driving automatics for the last decade. If you can live with the missing features, you can take a gamble on it. I would also suggest wait for the media drives/ test drive of tiago ev which should be out in a few weeks as that might suit your need (except the highway part)

Automatic if necessary is worth waiting for since it would probably be the EAT6 transmission which is a 6 speed torque converter unit of Aisin origin and would be a reliable unit

I've decided to give my problematic left leg some exercise after driving automatics from only 2016, but rest aren't convinced about this decision

Re: Should I buy the Citroen C3 Turbo?

In case you wish to go through:
Autocar India, in their latest November 2022 issue, has conducted a comparison test of the Citroen C3 vs the Tata Punch. Quite a balanced view. The Citroen emerges as the winner.

You are not alone. I have also added a manual Tiago to my AT Creta recently, and find the exercise of coordinating the various controls quite stimulating.

Re: Should I buy the Citroen C3 Turbo?

Hi, I test drove the C3, Celerio, i10, Punch and Altroz,
Magnite and then finally booked the C3.
It's got such a peppy engine , fresh look and the dealer gave me a killer offer for my old Datsun Go 2008.
Expected delivery in a week , so more on that later.
P.S
( The car is for the missus who's a soccer mum )

Found this after I Googled about the problem ypu mentioned.

Hope the Indian engines are using this improved part from Continental.

If the wait is too long might think of other options including used and since i'm off the AT train there are a whole lot of options. I am told a new citroen dealership will be opening at trivandrum in a couple of months.
I have backed off from the purchase of C3 Turbo. While the power delivery and ride was good I don't think it will suit me in the long run due to a mix of personal and technical reasons. Manual transmission isn't one of the reasons, I'm ok with a manual.

Many thanks in advance
Replied in the Magnite thread.
