The Dzire waiting period is bound to be high and supply limited just like the VDi was/is.

Beige also seems to be the most common colour on the Dzire as of now, out of the 9-10 Iv seen 5 were beige, yes all diff. cars.

Whatever you chose, your in good hands. SX4 will rock

Another Change - Colour Changed to "BLACK" :)

Hi Guys,

Another Change was just restricted to Colour this time. I have opted out for Swift VDI Black as it is available now.

Atlast, i have received a sanction from the Indian Bank. The Interest rate is 11%. MArgin amount is 10%. I have opted for 5 year period. The Service is ok. It just took two weeks to get it processed from the day i submitted (Considering the changes i made to model Swift to Dzire to Swift).

Hopefully, i would be getting the DD out tomorrow after the paper work is done. May be i shall get the car registered in another 2 weeks Max

Keep you guys posted about it.

REgards,

Prasanna KV

looks like we both have the same confusion.
even i am confused between swift vdi and dzire vdi, cant decide
it is the waiting period on dzire which is going against it

VDi with inbuilt audio?
Only Zxi in swift, and ZXi, ZDi in dzire have this feature.

hope you are factoring in extra money for accessories?

Hi Guys,

have got the car atlast. Black is beautiful Picked up delivery on Saturday.Process did not take long. I indeed carried out most of the checks specified in SMG's post. I would recommend Khivraj, they are ok. But sales guy i was dealing with was ok though he could not clarify moist of the things during demo, he did a good thing in getting the car out soon. The car has only 52 KMs and i hope it was not used as demo car earlier.

I am a first time driver and really feeling great to own this car and hate to get out after the ride..The Way turbo kicks in is cool but i am facing issues with reverse gear. Sometimes it is not easy to change to reverse gear, i remember reading someone else has faced this problem earlier as well..how did u fix it. I guess when u move it a little and then change to reverse, it works. will post the pics, once the accesories are fitted. (Im just Lazy)

I guess you bad thing about black is you need to clean it every day.

Btw i have managed to Park in 2 Minutes into my parking after 4 attempts. The timing is great considering the fact that i took close to 15 minutes to get it into parking..ofcourse it was not on a straight line .hehehe

Hi Ankit / Srit,

I was indeed talking about Dzire VDI with audio headunit. I am intending to get the following accessories fitted / done.

1. 3M UnderRust coating
2. 3M / Teflon boat coating
3. Fabric Protection coating
3. Seat covers (Still confused on Fabric / Artificial Leather)
4. Body side moulding
5. Bumber moulding
6. Reverse Parking Sensors-Buzzer Type with 4 sensors in Rear
7. Centre Arm Rest
8. Sun Film. I am intending to go for Front Windscreen Sunfilm as well. decided to stick on to Govt allowed ones.

For Stereo, i have shortlisted Pioneer 4050 and intended to pair it up hertz / Illusion / JBL and decide.

Intending to go for Components for Front and Rear. Add a sub later.

Btw is Art Leather and Artifical Leather the same?

Can Chennai Annas, suggest me a accessory fitting shop in chennai.

I am intending to get it done in Saandhya in Alwarpet Near Life style in Sriman Srinivasa Road (off TTK Road) Before NAradha Gana Sabha.

Do let me your thoughts.
regards,
Prasanna KV

Congratulations...

I have gone for teflon coating, but by the time I bought the car, I didn't read the article in forum about accessories.
It clearly mentions, do not got for teflon coating on body.
you need to check that before you take decision on it.

I feel Artificial leather is easier to maintain. I had it in my Alto as well. Works very well. easy to clean, if you have kids who will spill over stuff.

I went for Pioneer + JBL speakers. I didnt go for ovals on rear because that doesnt fit in the provision for speakers on door.

Infractions: 0/2 (8)

you could consider real leather upholstery for your car - try if you have a branch of OVION at chennai - they are a breakaway unit from Stanley leather and give very good quality at fair prices - check with them once before you decide. advantage - leather is always classy, being a natural material it breathes easy - keeps you cool in summer and warm in winter since most of today's cars are micro-climate controlled anyway.
And leather ages beautifully.
