@ aadix:

I have put the data you have provided in the above post on carwale.com and the result is that it should be of the value CarValue | My Valuations | CarWale CarValue - CarWale.com

Individual Value
Car Condition Excellent Good Fair Car Value (Rs.) 2,44,000 2,33,600 2,20,500 Dealer Value
Car Condition Excellent Good Fair Car Value (Rs.) 2,08,500 1,98,100 1,85,000Also remember that this is a rare car (atleast I havent seen manyin the city's I have lived so far, I can recall seeing just one but i am not sure if that was carbon or a mod )

So You may need to shell out a premium (say 10k odd) for the same

***bump again***:-D
I too might be looking for 1 but looking at the costs would'nt it be more sensible to take a normal Zen(old one) and get it converted to a CARBON or STEEL. The engine was the same and interiors had leather trims which can be done custom aswell.
Just two door conversion, alloy wheels and re-paint. So i think finding a car within 70K and about the same or less for CARBON or STEEL conversion.

Does it sound feasable?

No.

Why do you want a Carbon or Steel? For the 2 doors?

These were models being shipped to Europe, known as the Alto there. The limited edition came out as a result of surplus vehicles being produced. Hence they decided to sell them in India.

Actually any car i drive, is used only by me or max a passenger besides me, not more than that. The Ikon i had, had the rear doors jammed because it was rarely used and i mean "VERY rarely". So rear seat and boot is not of much use to me. And i just wanted a car to keep for a year or so.
I am attracted to the Zen because of the good engine and its frugal nature. Carbon or Steel for its rarerity and sober design. Plus a 2000-01 model Zen could be within a lakh rupees.
But this is just a suggestion.
For me it might also depend on the actual condition of the car.

the details and pics aadix can upload once he gets to own the machine....

As far as I know the structural design itself is different and you may need to move the
central beam by cutting and welding, which is not recommended at all as you will be
compromising heavily on the structural strength of the car. In case you want a
carbon/steel get one and DONT try to mod a 4-door one.

Just my opinion

You are absolutely correct. I spoke to our very own Arush from Autopsyche and he adviced the same.

How much should one quote for one of these, like in decent condition run about 50-60k kms?
But its so hard to find a Carbon/Steel.
