Hi People,

Visited a Mitsubishi dealer, Excel motors,New Delhi today and was told by the sales person that free insurance on Cedia is upto feb end only.So apart from free insurance (about Rs.30,000) another Rs.10,000 is being offered as 'Corporate' discount..

However, discount on current Pajero could be much higher due to the fact that new Pajero model is being launched in April, according to the dealer.

Hi Sahil,

The new Pajero is expected in the showrooms in a week's time! While the exact pricing or specs are not known, it is likley to be priced a bit higher than the current one (another lakh rupees or so) but it will feature a totally new shell than the current one..More in the Montero's mould..

Will post more info.when I get it.

Wow! Thats cool and it should be the case all India as Mitsu believes in one country, one price! However I was looking for Cedia Sports 2007 model which is not available at the dealership I went to..

I will check it out though.

Main dealer offering discount of Rs28000 = 14K cash discount + rest finance
Sub-Dealer offering Rs34000 = 17K cash discount + rest finance

however boths finance interest rates vary..main giving in 13.75% nd other in 14%

Should I wait for March end for more discounts??

No kidding! What Pajero would that be? The one they sell currently at 20 lakhs is the second generation Pajero, while the 3rd & 4th generations have sold at 30+ lakhs. Consider the fact that the 3rd and 4th gen are near identical, I'd be hard-pressed to believe that we should expect a *new* pajero.

Here is what I think : They currently sell the basic design of the 2nd gen Pajero. Maybe they plan to spruce it up with kit......muscular wheel arches etc.

Whatever done on the pajero available now, still it would be looking aged. The shape and the body lines are too square and doesnt invoke charecter.I would appreciate a later design from the HM guys.

What ever the design is, let it be, but give the Pajero a CRDi heart.

Hi GTO,

You are right the "new" Pajero is likely to have cosmetic interior and exterior changes..No update if there's going to be any changes to the engine/technicals etc.The dealer wasn't having much information on the same. Dealer's GM is visiting Chennai and will get to know the details as well as the pricing in next few days..They will also then get the new Pajero brochures...

Will update the forum as soon as I get any further info.

thanks

Another facelift to the 2nd gen pajero...now thats what i call an OVERKILL !

A wise move would be to discontinue the damn thing and give way to the Outlander to take its place.

A CRDI heart with a VGT to bump up the power and torque. Hope they get rid of the swathes of chrome while they are at it.

I am now listening the budget speech. There is a further duty cut on small cars.
