the 5lacs is a bit too high, depending on the condition and ratings in the carwale site i would not pay more than 4.4Lacs, check out with other's opinions too.

The onroad price for VDi in Delhi (after the hike) is 5.6. I would prefer spending that extra 60k and get a brand new one.
However, if you can negotiate to around 4.3-4.5 region then its a different story.

Ideally 4.5 to 4.6, if immaculate with accessories 4.75. If its really a clean car and well maintained and you dont want to go for a brand new one, invest in it.

Buddy 4.5-4.6 is da ideal price. Why arent you opting for a new VDI instead?

Pune is quite expensive as compared to ND & NCR. Still I think you should get it around 4.7 or so.

jaggu, i had a look at the car and the car is clean and well maintained car. It had a small dent near the front left door bottom sideand it has been taken care at the MASS only. Do you think that will be a problem down the line.

well karan, the waiting time for swift diesel is still been given as couple of months. Also with recent hike, its pushing my M limit.

Another question that i have here for swift diesel owners is that with the car nearing the 20K mark, what things need to be changed with respect to engine, filters, clutch etc. This would be extra cost and if this is high, i might not go for the car then.

4.5 Lacs is a good price if the car's condition is very good.

The owner is probably having some problems with the car I feel, else I am yet to see a used Swft Diesel in the market.

no vk, actually the owner is travelling to UK for long term assignment (more than a year or so) with his family. Hence he is selling the car.
One more point that i got to know is that the car is company leased car. does that make any difference to the condition of the vehicle. I will anyways get the car checked at a maruti service station or a good mechanic.

Oh Ok Tez, that is fair then.

No difference it makes if the car is company leased. I do not now what is the process of transferring the Registeration if it's a company leased car. You have to check on that. I am sure many here would answer that question of yours.

Do make sure you go for a good TD of the vehicle and check the Switches, Power Windows, & Rattles in the car - The Swift has these problems. Other than this it of course is a lovely car !!

You may have to go through the fore-closure route, by having to pay some charges to fore-close the lease, plus transfer charges, and may be taxes too.

Pls get a clear picture from your friend / seller on the charges involved. When negotiating, it will help if there's clarity on who will pay these charges, and how much will you pay totally.
